For centuries Great Britain had a reputation for truth, decency and fairness. Brexit and Boris Johnson managed to trash that once proud reputation in just a couple of years, where lies and deceit became what we were known for. Europe in particular doesn't like us much, and with good reason.

Really, if you think that way, perhaps, you would prefer living in Europe.?
The Kinnocks certainly made a good life working for the EU, despite being rejected by the Elecorate in the UK.

You conveniently forgot that Blair , Brown & Campbell came before Boris Johnson and Sadiq has been Mayor of London after BoJo ?
Those three , certainly tarnished the reputation of the UK globally for their policies and Mr.Starmer has already been called out by some EU leaders and Journalists for his actions .

Europe doesn't particularly like us since Brexit ?
Perhaps, they were peeved because the second largest financial contributors were no longer laying the golden eggs ?
Whatever has occurred since, proves the point, for the petty and peevish policy restrictions imposed since Brexit ?
Still, if your personal idea of democracy, is loyalty to unelected EU commissioners and authoritarian dual leadership standards, you must be rather narrow minded ?

The Allied forces including, American , Russian and Commonwealth troops freed Europe from tyranny and rebuilt their industries to the detriment of our own.

Kinnock,meanwhile, in his role as Commissioner was largely silent and did little of note to benefit the UK ?
Largely silent, as he was during the Miners' strike.
So much for representing the Working classes !

With the decline of Methodist chapels in Wales, it appears that there is no longer any fire in the bellies of Welsh activists and politicians, to fight for traditional " Labour " values.
The disgraceful whooping and cheering, in the Welsh Assembly ,when the vote to cut WFA payments was carried in the HOC, speaks volumes.

I take your point and accept what you say.
However , it's relevant that without the Russian' s impacting the war , an allied victory would have taken longer to achieve, if at all.
My late father , bless him, spent 6 years plus in the Royal Navy, surviving his ships being sunk twice .
He was " honoured " to have served on The Russian Convoys , sailing into Archangel and Murmansk to help supply the war effort.
Much of the time, sailors were deployed de-icing their vessel to prevent capsizing.
