If its going to be too much of a hassle for you then don't go. Other fans currently travel for that length of time to the current home of AFC.
Folk forget that a day out at the fitba is more than the fitba for a lot of people

Its a getaway from work, nagging wives, kids and I'm sure other things. Its a chance to get a pint with your mates/family and escape reality for a wee bit. There are a lot of people who treat it like that. I certainly do, Pittodrie is my social life. Its the only time I meet up with people as I'm a single dad who has his kid all week when home and works away 6 months of the year. To have to travel 4 hours to get to and from a game is going to be f@cking sh@te and a huge issue. The packed westhill bound bus for 40 minutes sounds sh@te to me also.Obviously this is if I'm wanting a beer(diving wouldn't take long) but it would ruin what little socializing I do as I'm not prepared to travel 4 hours to a home game. Defeats the purpose of a word home

That's just me personally. I'm sure there are plenty of others too with the same beef. Just look at pretty much all pubs east of George Street all the way to the North Sea on a match day, hoaching as they are in the vicinity of the game. That will be totally lost in Westhill. Out of all Dons fans mates/family I have spoke to only 3 are for it and it just so happens they drive to games. The rest maybe another 15 seldom do drive and don't want it at Westhill . So for to folk to say not getting a pint before the game and having to use mulitiple modes of transport isn't an issue and should just be dealt with is well off the mark in my eyes. I believe our crowds will drop. But that's my opinion

Personally I would organise standing only buses with a bath in the middle to p’ish in, guaranteed to take 3 hours to reach the ground ( from Spa Street) giving you enough time to finish your enormous carry out.

We could empty the bath into a different Westhill garden every game.

A new location will do you the world of good min, get you out the house, see the world.

I'll have you know that I've travelled in three discrete counties.

Looking at the Smiddybrae industrial units is something I've done a lot. I used to deliver to them, as the ****s never had their boiler suits ready. I've no real inkling to do it every second Saturday/Friday Sunday ****ing afternoon at half past ****ing 4 from a steamed up bus window with packed-in passengers moaning that they're bursting for a collective pish whilst it's hosing it doon ootside.

One season ticket, and if it's a farce from start to finish (I will give fair allowance for teething problems but they've got three years to put Proper Mannies' Plans in place, friluvva****) I will not renew.

I take your points on board Pac and I see your point of view. The move will be better for some and worse for others.

Currently, getting out of Aberdeen on match day is a nightmare and always has been. Nobody really complains about that as 'that's the way it's always been'. I have done the 7 hours from 'house to house' as that is all I have ever known, that is an Aberdeen home game to me.

You can still get a pint before the game and you have to use one mode of transport more than usual.

I'd hope to see an increase in the use of supporters clubs and buses with the new location.

The bar capacity needs to be increased to a decent size to house those that want a pint before the game and hopefully to stay open after the game also. It might reduce the numbers trying to get out all at once.

I love the sound of a bus to take me direct from the stadium to a pub in the toon, 'door to door service'.

Cosy bus with a wee seat, talking to others about the title challenge. Going to be super.
