Anyway, to most this is just banter, to some, especially when you see the amount of posts they are credited with, regardless of being funny or not, well, what kind of existence do they have :

I'm sure it would be banter if you could actually write it down properly. Until then, it's just slavering nonsense.

rangers didnt just spend for european success.

in season 2007-2008. they were chasing 4 trophies.

never once did they think to prioritize the uefa cup by playing weaker sides in the cup games v the likes of st johnstone and partick, unlike celtic in 2003 and many big english clubs over the years, rangers got greedy, trying to win a couple of domestic cups as well as the title and uefa.

if they had a bit of common sense they wouldnt have been so knackered in the title run in, and might have put a better fight up in the uefa final.

its quite feasible rangers could have put out weaker sides in the domestic cups and lost but won the title and a european trophy.

but they didnt prioritize those 2 bigger trophies, instead treating a diddy cup game v partick the same as a big old firm game or euro final.

that parochial attitude has won rangers many league cups in the past but held them back in europe. so i dont really believe they spent all that money just to get euro success. as they

When we lost the UEFA Cup Final in 2008, we won both domestic cups.

When Celtic lost the UEFA Cup Final in 2003, we won the Scottish treble.

    There you go, rev.

thought that would be your answer woland.

maybe you should consider the different circumstances we were in regarding 2003.

in 2003 we were the only team competing in as many games in europe, rangers went out at the first hurdle and had only 2 euro games, we had 15. thats a difference of 13, and gave yous a massive advantage in all domestic comps. our priority that season was the league and europe, we put out weaker sides in the cups and it backfired, so what thats what happens to clubs who prioritize, if we had put out strong teams in the cups, we would have lost the league earlier and not made the european final, so regardless we made the correct decision as many big european sides would have done.

rangers in 2008, lost a title they had a 12 point lead in, and knackered themselves for a european final they could have won, just to win 2 diddy cups that they could win most years.
they most deffo got that wrong.

the fact rangers won 2 cups in 2008 and celtic won nothing in 2003 is i
