I cant understand this clamour to spend big, when the way ahead for cellick and other teams is to unearth gems then sell them on.

PS I'm getting more sensible as the thread goes on
Larsson was A?650k from Feyenoord and what a signing he proved to be...spending big is a dangerous game for the likes of Celtic but unearthing gems like Wanyama, Van Dijk, Commons is not easy.

Aye you seem to have swallowed a couple of sensible pills!
Henrik Larsson scored goals at USA '94?

Griffiths would score plenty for you in the SPFL. The CL is a different matter though.
We don't need Griffiths to win the league. It'll be another collecting a wage who will maybe start 1 game in 3, it would be a totally unnecessary signing.
I think Celtic need a proven goal-scorer to replace Hooper??
Is Leigh Griffiths a proven goalscorer, though?

He has nowhere near the ability of Hooper. Signing strikers around this price hasn't worked well f

I'm glad Rogic got a move, for his sake its good.

I would like to see the squad reduced a bit, too many players in it who will never play for us, let them go would be better for both parties, reduce squad and buy a couple of quality players in summer if possible

Aye I would say A?1m is a bargain for Griffiths.

As for our misfiring strikers well the void from Hooper leaving was never filled but Commons has been immense this season with his goals and all round play...as for the **** Celtic are up against that's a wee bit derogatory against the likes of Aberdeen, Hibernian, Motherwell etc!!!
You haven't replaced Hooper but the strikers already at the club should be scoring for fun in the league.
I didn't say the other clubs were dung pogue I said your strikers were. As for being disrespectful to the premier league, are you being serious?

[quote="imtheboy" fan why would you even post a comment like that? This is clearly a cellick related topic..

No wonder this board is dying a death when clowns jump on every thread and change it to whatever subject, person or topic they are obsessed with...
Wow. What an outburst. Jings. Help ma boab

Well, to answer yoor question, itb. The reason I posted a 'comment like that' is because you and your ugly bigoted sister are one and the same and the likeness between you is blind only to you OF mnorons (excuse my bluntness). As is the hypocrisy: A the ranjurs fan commenting on celtc about the quality of players they are signing - I mean really, how ridiculous can one want to look.

Now itb, I suggest you take a breath nmext tme and stop yourself getting upset about which teams fans post on what threads. If you disagree with a point, why not just offer an alternative viewpoint.

Its 2014 and there is a developing peace in many hearts - wh

    Leigh Griffiths???

Dear oh dear. Is that the sum total of their ambition in the face of stories of Celtic purchasing a CL standard striker?

I'm sure defences all over Europe are quaking in their boots at the thoughts of having to face Leigh Griffiths (formerly of Wolves and Hibs) next season.

Rasellic fans need to accept this as the reality, Griffiths is probably as good as its going to get.

Hopper hopped off to the EPL, Rhodes would rather stay at Quackburn and Austen chose to join QPR instead of Celtic.

The carrot of possibly playing a few games in the Chumps League no longer seems to trump playing in England, even in the Championship.
