Please don't mention Cheltenham sat' against Norwich will as good that's how good the Cheltenham Festival is.

Back to the subject, phoned Sky up fri' they're trying to justify putting price up by saying its going into making quality programmes, more prem' games [ when they've lost champions league next season ] Motor racing & Golf. I said can't you just show the game not Merson, Henri' ect, knock Motor racing off as well as Golf, one day Cricket, Rugby & Darts + Greyhound racing for me. Said all I want on is Football [ said I hardly watch prem' ], Horseracing [ can't get Racing UK, won't pay extra for it ] & Test cricket. I said Golf only 2 I watch Masters & our Open can watch on the beeb & Tennis French is on ITV & Wimbledon is on the beeb. Watch snooker but that's on Euro sport, beeb & ITV. It was a free phone call with me having Sky talk. Was on phone about a hour, to cut a long story short they said Sky Sports comes in one bundle, so I have it as it is or don't. So I said in this

    Today's business news:-

"Shares in Sky rose nearly 5% after it reported strong third quarter results. Operating profits for the nine months to the end of March rose 20% to £1.025bn."

Which means there are a lot of easy pickings amongst its subscribers.

I wonder why that should be Jolly?

Or are you suggesting that a large percentage of Sky viewers are as thick as a brick?

Personally I would agree and would go as far as suggesting that many are too stupid to be allowed to vote in a General Election.

The counter argument is that many people are too poor, downtrodden and disillusioned by their lack of opportunities in life to vote and this what the Tories always count on at General Election time.

Correspondingly, they get Sky by hook or my crook and simply dissolve themselves in it.

EDIT. Thank you GM for pointing out that there is a difference between a mile and a kilometre.
Otherwise I would never have known.
