That makes no difference either.. I am sure you are a life long supporter of Sheffield United and I am sure you would be cack as a chairmen as well.

You're too good for me buttercup.

Go on then I will play the game.. Why does being a lifelong supporter make you a better chairman... Does he/she make better decisions or because they are a supporter, make stupid knee jerk irrational ones?
You are either a good chairman or a bad one.. I'm sure Fawaz has been a Forest supporter all his life...

    Hmm.. Not quite.
I don't seem to remember posting that Morris would not be a good chairman... The geezer at Swansea Huw Jenkins is also a life long Swans supporter and in my opinion one of the best in any league.. My point is that not all will make good chairmen.. The is a generalisation in this thread that is incorrect.

Let the Clough lover have another go if he wants.

Too true, being a successful businessman and being local is no guarantee or indication that the person will be able to run a football club successfully, and there are many cases where the opposite has been true its another case of sentimantality overriding reality.

Whilst I prefer a local person to be involved, and one would hope he has the clubs interests at heart, successful businessmen tend to think that their way is the right way when it often isn't!

All I want is the club being run successfully - on and off the pitch.

So successful businessmen tend to think their way is the right way, well I guess so otherwise they would be unsuccessful businessmen.

Fairly obvious what he meant. There's ample evidence that businessmen know their business well but that they make mistakes running football clubs. It doesn't follow that success in one area transfers across to another!

Mm lets see, Ashley at Newcastle, Oystons at Blackpool, that Thai guy at Cardiff, all successful in their own businesses, but would you say they have been successful at running the football clubs??

Marcus Evans has been in charge at Ispwich for eons and is a local man and successful businessman, yet Ipswich have done no better and arguably worse than Derby over recent years under GSE - all I'm saying is "local" and "successful businessman" are not criteria that mean the club will be successful.

Wrong again, just one question though why do you always resort to insults when you lose the argument.
