    Totally agree with this.

Still backing RN bt questions have to be asked. We all knew what we were up against last night and least we forget this was a weakened Ayr side!!!

Fyvie Stanton smith gomis were awful. Safranko did his usual without actually doing much and the defence looked ropey as ever.

I fear we may be repeating the same old mistakes in that we panic punt the drivel we acquired previously, and replace them with nt much better.

Robbie has to take the blame here and stop coming out with the same old cliche’s, we need to strengthen, I feel sorry for the fans S-;:e! As with the previous managers if we can see where it’s going wrong in the pitch then surely a seasoned pro and experienced manager shld be able to see it too!!

Come on Robbie your better than this.

realistically how many windows do you need to build a decent squad from scratch? The Jan window should be for topping up, and emergencies e.g. unforeseen injuries. If you are trying to rebuild your squad in Jan you are seriously toiling.

We have built absolutely nothing for getting back up and staying up since we went down because we have become so obsessed with getting promoted in every transfer window, when we haven't even had the tools to do so e.g. an effective scouting/recruitment system, add to that a lack of quality youngsters coming through, and a budget that is better than most but by no means enough to blow away the competition, especially when it is wasted. So we just lurch from one transfer window to the next unrealistically trying to replace the previous duds and at the same time build a title winning side, with little long term planning.

No coincidence hearts romped the championship when they had a season to prepare when they knew they were going down, and Livi and ayr have done well having had a year to develop their team in lower league.

Even if we have a decent scouting system in place now it takes time to assemble a decent squad, as opposed to just finding 3-4 players a season.

The new regime and Neilson need time, anyone who has seen us this season must season must see how poor we are? I have seen us play well once this season for 60-65 mins in Nelsons first game v P Thistle. Yet it is the same as last season, people have romping the league with a few Jan signings??

United failed to string 3 passes together last night - and that is no exaggeration.

Fyvie could not even make a straight pass from a throw in - shocking football.

Fyvie is either unfit, off form or still recovering from his injury - maybe a combination of all 3.

United have no play maker in mid field and no engine - the tank is empty.

Seasmen and Nesbit were the only two decent players for United.

This is the very same Ayr team as last season - who Arbroath beat twice and also drew with ............

Next season Arbroath, maybe Dundee and Ayr ( I don't think they will get promotion ) will all be in the Championship - does anyone seriously think United can beat these teams - I think it would be a struggle.

Ayr are a very average Championship team - but because the teams in this league are so poor, they are top of the league - I seriously think Arbroath would be in the top 4 of this league.

The players have no fight , no determination, no nothing.

Special mention to the fans who wasted their time and money travelling to Ayr to watch this shambles of a team - they deserve much better.

That was utter ****e last night, frequently the case this season and for seasons. Said before it that the players had to be right up for this , fek sake , nae chance that was on display last night.

Young right back looks like he will be good for us, goalie was no bad, subbies should have been on much earlier, look at the difference Nesbitt made.

However, ****e weather, difficult away venue against the team who have surprised everyone in this league. All is not lost and we can still win this effing league under Robbie and the new regime. Patience and support required but it is challenging aye .

taking fyvie and stanton off was right thing - they should be on bench next game. They need the competition as they obviously feel part of the foundations here and resting on that. Mind you Gomis out for next game? So maybe Fyvie starts. 442 please Nesbitt to start. McMullan on a shoogly peg.

If any more than one of Fyvie Stanton McMullan or Smith start the next game then Neilson can gtf.

Four in middle - Aird Harkes Stanton Nesbitt
    And Safranko Clark

442 when they've got ball 424 when we have it. Attack FFS
