I was reading on Owlstalk that if Wednesday are found guilty of the charges they are so severe they could be automatically relegated.
Points deduction for the offence and relegation if proven that the offence was intended to mislead the EFL.

I think they make the rules/punishments up as they go along. There's no set penalty for financial misdemeanors. We see clubs being deducted a various number of points which I think isn't fair and something i fail to understand.

The rules should simply read- Here's the financial line, cross it and you will be automatically relegated.

You break the rules and it's the same punishment for all clubs.

Also FIFA etc should make it absolutely clear what is and what is not legal.
Clubs should have an open channel to request clarification on anything they are unsure of so they can get a clear Yes or No.

Totally agree. PL & EFL could have helped Bury.
Even an interest free loan may have saved them.
But they didn't because Bury don't have any clout.
Can't see ruling bodies letting UTD, CITY, SPURS etc going under.
Can't wait to see PL reaction when top clubs break away from them to start a super league in Europe and their funding gets cut by 2/3.

It depends on how much the will is within the EFL to actually want to exercise their own rules .

This is at the heart of the matter , relegate Derby County and Wendy to save Barnsley and Luton Town ?

This is the crux of the matter .

Easy to deny Swindon Town a place in the PL in the early 90's when they won the play off final but fell foul of financial obligations .

Try that one with Aston Villa three decades later and see how that works out .

The EFL ain't no balls , still fecking around with this season and we are a week shy of June and no feckers even done a session training yet .

We never got close to deserving to stay up and inside we all know it, the honourable thing would be for the top 3 teams to go up from lg1. And bottom 3from championship go down. And any suing or challenges = no class whatsoever, hey that's just me. I'm done wi football anyway.
