They do say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
Absolutely right Exile. I love to imitate you. I can be argumentative, pedantic, “previous post fanatic”, and persistently annoying, Poking, prodding, and irritating.
I make it my business to challenge your thoughts, just for the hell of it , purely because you don’t like it.
I’m claiming this u-turn as a Victory for Boris! He has listened to One letter.
Most of all though,
It’s a great victory for the Kids. But I’m sure you will eventually claim it’s a Labour one.
It was raised a week ago at PMQ's but Boris sed "No wi not changing"
As the pressure built in the next few days Boris/Cummings were in a hole because they knew they were onna loser but couldn't be seen to U turn on a Labour demand. A succession of Ministers including Rishi were sent out on the media to defend the "hungry kids" issue but they were losing the battle. The Rashford letter was a political godsend. Yesterday Boris could pretend he was responding solely to the letter and tick several political boxes at once--
- the caring Boris who steps in to save the hungry kids
- the Boris who responds to inequalities in society
- the Boris who listens to a black celebrity in popular culture
How could No 10 not do it ? Got out of a political hole nicely with that one.

A would say fortunate political timing more than a set up Jules. I believe Rashford was genuine but Cummings seized the moment.
The current PM never entered politics to serve the people and do any good .
He entered it for self gratification and to feed his ego .
Marcus Rashford is a very talented young footballer already wealthy beyond his dreams .
He could quite easily have sat back and played on his PlayStation for the last 3 months like 99% of footballers have done only taking to social media to twitter stupidity to his fellow pros .
He didn't , he used his position in a positive manner to try and make people's lives better .
The lad is 22 years old , Johnson's been in politics 19 years and achieved what exactly ? .
