I don't recall saying that if people didn't wear masks then there would be a second lockdown?
I can see the sense in wearing masks though, because if you cough or sneeze, the particles would travel much further.

The highest number of deaths in one day so far in England was 204 on 26th October, even adding in Scotland, Wales and Ireland the total hasn't got over even 260 in one day yet. Around 300 a day is FAKE NEWS, were did you get that figure from, whatever the source I wouldn't be trusting it again.

And if you look back at Post 287, I pointed out just why you had the date wrong, you were using the date death reported figures, instead of the actual date of death figures.

I well remember back at the start of the first lockdown that you were scoffing at the possibility of 10,000 deaths in the UK. That went well for you, eh?

Now we are at the start of a second wave which is widely predicted to be worse than the first...unless you know better (again!)

The whale vomit hunting has not been very productive lately. The best I can offer are loads of interesting pieces of drift wood, old boots, a small dead porpoise and a pile of seaweed. i need to up my game...

Yes, in a normal year, around 10,000 people die each week. No argument there.

But when the figure of 10,000 total deaths due to Covid (not per week) was mentioned you rubbished it. I have tried to search for your post from around March but apparently you can only go back 500 posts, which was in September.

Shall we have a sweep for how many total deaths due to Covid there will be by the end of the year? Say £5 each? I reckon 80,000 give or take. That's around another 33,000 from today.

Hmmm, the death rate from RIs in November and December always increases dramatically, and I doubt the Lockdown will do much to stop the inevitable annual rise, so it will go up, but 33,000 by the end of the year ? I make no comment, but I will revisit this post on January 1st.
