Dogs are god awful. Rarely ever met one that’s actually trained properly. Instead they jump up on people, bark at stupid things, chase stupid thing, don’t let you eat in peace, stick their nose in your crotch, and do all kinds of obnoxious things. Why anyone would want that, let alone pay good money for it, is beyond me.

I think the Chinese have the right idea with how dogs can best be useful. I lived there and made use several times. Delicious! Goes well with gravy.
Yeah why would anyone want a loyal friend who loves you no matter what you've got in your life, who makes you a better person, gives you exercise, doesn't back stab you or **** you over for money or their base needs, who can sense illness and give blind people a life. Rather a dog than a human any day of the week for me.

Yeah I don't trust people who don't like dogs, I think they can sense the dog will find their personality out as lacking.

I was walking home from work 2 years ago across the park and an alsatian ran across from the other side of the park, tore into my right arm and then my left wrist and I ended up in hospital. Has it made me abit more wary of those dogs yes but the owner shouldn't have let it off its lead and the way it went at me it could have been an ex police dog. As Cher said it's the owners who are the problem sometimes, the dog is a product of its environment.

I love dogs but wouldn’t have one as travel far too much. I don’t agree entirely with Andy but I do see where he’s coming from. I would never eat one and despise any animal cruelty but some owners do presume everyone loves their best friend the dog. Purely an owner problem and not the dogs fault. I get fed up of them jumping up me when I’m running, sniffing at my table when I’m eating and just being allowed to disrupt any peace and tranquility when left to bark at all times of the day and night. You used to need a licence to own a dog and I honestly think this may be a good legislation to bring back as well as more education for some of the owners !

The only issue with the alsation was that it could have been a child it went for, in which case I would happily of made Andy a casserole 😯

I have always owned dogs & would have no problem paying for a licence if it meant better education for poor owners, I agree that barking dogs can be a problem but imo not as much as cats that are let out to invade whole neighbourhoods killing the native wildlife, crapping all over other peoples gardens & digging up your prize Petunias, so I would insist on cats being licenced as well.
