First XI capable, the bench isn't. Fingers crossed we can flesh out the squad with some impactful squad members and some are back sooner rather than later.

And to see us consistently try and play football was a joy. Shame about the drop off as mentioned.

Yeah, did well against a multi million team, we ran out of steam and the subs wernt strong enough for this league, we need help, serious help.

Their subs would have all been in our starting 11 except the goalie, that show the strength what needed.......

Luke Thomas is out of favour, may be able to get him on loan, rumours that Leeds are looking at him though.

I always look at it this way when we are in the championship .

The games against the ex PL parachute payment clubs are free hits , if you get something it's a Brucey Bonus .

Your fate this season won't be decided by the games against the Leicester City's , Southampton or Leeds but against the Cardiff's , Huddersfield and S6 of the league .

That Leicester City line up today is just ridiculous , you have to wonder how they ever went down plus Maddison and Tielmans who they've lost .

Today we saw a genuine Championship performance from our defence and midfield. The quality offered by Cafu and Teihi is something that I can't remember us possessing previously. Anyone miss Wiles - not one iota! However, the closer we got to 75 minutes, the more obvious it became that the quality of Leicester would overcome a tiring side with literally no fire power to bring on to help refresh the side. No-one on our bench, save Appiah, would get in a League One squad. Eaves miss was his chance to make his mark and he failed miserably - football just ain't his game.

Another officiating horlicks cost us what looked like a perfectly good opening goal and a stone-wall penalty for that barge!

Despite our lack of points, I feel we are on the brink of something special and with the right additions in the final week of the transfer window, we could see this team comfortably climb the league in the months ahead.

Leicester paid 14 million for the keeper on the bench.
I was looking on the tinterweb at half time and in the last 12 month Leicester had spent 105 million on players and sold 96 millions worth, Harvey Barnes being a big chunk at 44 million to Newcastle.
Plus the 40 million for parachute payment.

The playing field needs leveling a touch

Just checked about him good age height left back says he's on £11,500 a week should be able to come to an agreement on percentage of his wages we pay. Pass info on to MT!

It's the parachute payments that are the problem Cayton in the championship .

It's simply ridiculous that these relegated clubs have that kind of financial advantage over the rest which in essence is failure .

The reality is that whilst the PL isn't a closed shop it's carefully and not so subtly by means of parachute money intentionally created one .

I really don't give a monkey's about the PL but I do care about the EFL and the impact parachute money has on the championship .

Totally agree. What stupid figure would a player like vardy be getting? 45k a week?

Scratch that. I've just been reading he signed a 2 year deal last year at 14.5 million over 2 years.
Not sure where this figure comes from though 3 different sites are quoting it ☹️
