One thing I've learned over the years when in the championship is that we have to bloody graft our tyts off to stay up and at least compete .

Once that workrate and desire drops and the squad aren't all on the same page we are in massive trouble which is what played out in our last championship season .

I watched Wednesday the other night at Plymouth and to be fair they played well for fourty minutes and the 3-0 flattered Plymouth in the end .

This new HC at Wednesday might just get them out of it through sheer graft and that bit of quality they do have with Bannan and Windass .

I don't believe for one minute that's the real Rotherham United I've just seen mind .

Money isn't going keep you in the league , hard graft will , that's down to the management and players and costs feck all .

You make your own luck signing sicknotes like Hall & Morrison was just crazy. Never thought I'd say this but Warney did bring more a millers type of player in. Fred Cafu there's more aren't.

It fact mate. It's science. The stats were screaming 'these players are crocked ' before we signed them. Got nothing to do with bad luck
I'd say at least 3 of our long term injuries fall into the bad luck category, Cam, Green and Lindsay. Our budget seems to fit either taking a chance on older experienced players or younger inexperienced ones and the fans don't seem to like either.

Wouldn't a more prudent approach be to find a mix? What you save on the younger players, you can add to the budget for the more experienced.

Maybe we have nearly the squad to learn from sides like Millwall - no massive marquee players, battle hardened, well drilled, hard to beat and always able to hit on the break away from home and get something?

    Big Picture

A poor poor preformance today.Second best all over the pitch. Damage was done tactically leaving the ultra slow Morrison exposed to Musbas pace which resulted in the assists for Smith's two goals.

However it does my head in with modern football that after every poor result people think a change of manager will resolve a sides problems.

Big picture - we always struggled at this level in modern times. This Manager did well to keep us last year so he is not suddenly clueless. I think he is less likely to do so this time as unfortunately the policy of signing older defenders has backfired. Strangest one for me letting Mccart go to Barnsley - never really given a chance.

However in summary - mistakes have been made, but with the resources available I'm not sure a change of manager is likely to bring a significant improvement.

One of the worst performances I've ever seen especially in a derby it was a shambles from start to finish. You know it's bad when our fans are celebrating a shot in 80th min

Absolutely **** that was, no interest from half of them players WHY?
They should be asked questions in front of a Mic for all to see

I always like Smith when with us but I think we made that far too easy for him, I’d still have him back though, him and Hugill up front

    Motm NO ****ER
