As to "how will L1/2 clubs get into the championship" it's a level playing field, exactly the same number of L1 and L2 clubs are going to be promoted each season. All it will change is (hopefully) fewer clubs will go bust throwing money at promotion gambles, and owners coming in and buying their way out of a league at ludicrous expense and inflating everyone else's player wages in the process will be a thing of the past.

Assuming the rules don't have vast loopholes or something, anyway
But what is the point in generating income you can't spend? If a club has 'smart' owners who create other income streams, shouldn't that' in a real, business sense, be allowed as a fair advantage?

The Premier league is possibly an exception now with gate money being less pivotal to a clubs financial viability. What is unfair, are the 'parachute' payments to relegated clubs which start with a massive advantage over existing, Championship teams.

I wouldn't worry too much - since July 2019 when the Bros bought the club there has been ?500k of equity injection in August 2023 - it's not like they've been pumping ?millions in.

How much money have Wrexham's owners and Radford at Mansfield actually invested directly in their respective clubs? I'd imagine the vast majority of Wrexham's new-found wealth comes through major sponsorship deals and the TV show, while Mansfield are able to punch above their weight due to money syphoned into the club through sponsorship by One Call. So it's all regular revenue as far as I can tell, rather than money being directly injected into the clubs.

You can only spend 50% of turnover on players wages/transfer fees in L2 (60% in L1) so it will make no difference whether money comes in as overly-generous sponsorship or equity injection.

Most people on here have completely misunderstood this. Clearly some don't even know the current rules nevermind the proposals. Unless you're willing to do some research and educate yourself on how football finance works I suggest you leave it to the owners who clearly know the current rules and direction of travel. To be fair it is quite complicated.
