No McDonald in squad today either! Not even a full subs bench. What is going on in training?

There is a full bench and maybe Johnson is prefered to Macdonald.

You can tell team don?t trust Slocombe as much as Bass, I pray it?s just a swelling?

Bass is going to be out 'for a while' (although perhaps not the rest of the season) according to SM, so we're looking in the free agent market and will make a move if the right deal comes along for another 'keeper. Slocombe said it's difficult to even train properly with only two 'keepers.

Jodi 'itching to get back' but SM still sounds a little guarded on when it will be.

Bass being out for a considerable chunk of the remaining fixtures is a big blow and very likely to result in fewer points obtained unless the club can pull a rabbit out of the hat with a top replacement.

Big fan of Bass this season. We just can?t catch a break when it comes to injuries and absentees this season

The Bass injury just sums up this season.

Anyone know of any decent keepers who were released in January? It would be a huge gamble to bring someone in who hasn’t played since last season.

All of this reminds me of the points we dropped when Darren Ward was on international duty for Wales - Brian Parkin was clearly still being paid by Bristol Rovers when he turned out for us on one disastrous occasion.

Not sure who he was replacing, but in 2004 we had the legendary Pegguy Arphexad for three games. I seem to recall a howler at Wycombe that cost us three points.

We have only our selves to blame. We should have kept Brooks, or at least signed another keeper instead of penny pinching. The same applied to Crowley, We replaced him with to academy players.. As for Jodi, I wouldnt bother with him this season. He wasnt fit when he came back, and is unlikely to be fit again this season.
