Holmes made a big difference to the side, he controlled our defence, to which we have
been lacking in games.
Hughill had one of his better games, he looked up for it, pity he can not get that goal.
3 points in the bag, is what we fans wanted, & got.

Enjoyed the game and every player put a shift in . Thats what I want to see . We are a team in transition and we should give this team time.

I went yesdi,Holmes was very good but i also thought Gore looked very good.I think the Millers just about deserved to win and it was a very good finish for the goal.3rd time i've been to the New York this season/pre season, obvs the first was against us in the friemdly and then the Port Vale game so i've got a 100% record watching the Millers in the league this season.UTB
Rod, nice to hear from you pal and nice to see fans visit other games not just their own.
As for your lot, my very good friend who lives in Lanzarote, is a life long Blades fan and, he's fearing the worst with the start you've had. He's adamant Ruben Selles has got to go! He also says Wilder should never have been sacked/paid off but, he also thinks Wilder saw the bigger picture and took the silver so to speak.
Re - Chio. If he stays fit, you've got a good one on your hands there.
Good luck with rest of the season and for lords sake, finish above the pigs or you'll never live that down.
Agree some must be easily pleased on here. Was a mediocre game Saturday against almost clueless opposition. Kaleta needs to learn how to cross a ball. Tom Holmes made difference defence looked more solid with him there.
Thought it was the best performance we've put in. Holmes looks to be a great addition which begs the question why he's been loaned out.
We're starting to see exactly what MH is wanting to do and if he can pull it off, then we'll be up there by the end of the season. Realistically anything better than last year is a success but I'd love to see us pushing into the playoffs. 4-3-3 worked when we were forced to go to that, and I think we might see it a little more in the next few weeks. Even Hugill had a good game
Likely answer is that he has been injury hit, and have got some reliable replacements in that position.
I had huge mixed feelings whilst watching the game. Like many, I could clearly see progress, some extended periods of how Hamshaw is setting us up to play and am optimistic that in time this is the kind of style that I want to see from us after post Warne awfulness. But then at the same time, with each hamstring, I was falling into despair. It is jaw dropping that this can keep happening, under successive managers and with apparently the training pitch is great shape. I can't say I was surprised at Ekeke, who I think was always going to happen through one ailment or another, but the other two going down is just taking the piss. Unfortunately, I think Hoolmes has come to be as injury prone, and I'm watching him half expecting him to pull up also.
Fully behing Hamshaw though. New to the trade, but good signs of a positive direction. Just looks like season write off already with several first teamers out for a long stretch.
Looking forward to seeing us in the flesh on Saturday for the first time this season
I hope the Millers have a good season and stop pickin up so many injuries.Ogbene was very good for the Millers and we need him to do as well with us.We've been poor this season and need to show vast improvement startin at Ipswich on Friday,if we don't surely even the daft yank owners we have must get shut of Selles.UTB
Happy with the 3 deserved points, would have liked to have scored a few more goals though.
Exeter very poor defensively but much better going forward and gave us a few scares.
Lovely goal from Hall, Hughill worked hard and nice to see the crowds warm applause which I thought he deserved. We all love a tryer!
Holmes was immense in defence, solid and also a threat from corners. Nearly had a goal too.
A big worry is the injuries though and so we will again have to have another rearranged and weaker team next week.
Thought I saw holmes clutch at his hamstring late in the game too.
All in all, a much pleasanter Saturday evening resulted.
