Birighitti is the root cause of us being bottom of the league 100%.

A good or even half decent goalie breeds confidence in his defence but in the space of one season we've went from being hard to score against to nervy as fk and that in turn makes our midfield edgy too. Players like Levitt and McGrath don't become bad players overnight but are made to look like that because they must go on that pitch believing they are a goal or 2 down before the kick off because this clown of a goalie will be throwing 1 or 2 in.

I still believe our squad has the talent to get us out this mess but possibly not the mentality or the belief or any confidence in whoever we put between the sticks.

    Over to you Mr Goodwin🙏

Obviously Brighitti was crucified for St Johnstone game (quite rightly so) but he had looked a bit better prior to that.
I have thought about this and I am afraid the evidence is against Birighitti

It’s not just the second goal v St J, it was also the first goal

Listed elsewhere but there are at least 10 goals conceded that a decent keeper would have stopped - in most cases stopped easily

Newman been on loan etc He has some experience and this is his moment to show what he can do

This doesn't surprise me. In his interview JG said he'd already spoken to the senior players who have played at the highest level and expect them to lead on the park. Can only be Mulgrew and Fletcher he's on about.

As far as poppadom hands goes, I'm sure he shows up well in training but phuckme. I mean bomb-scare is often used to describe goalkeepers but it doesn't do him justice with the mistakes he has in him. ☹️

That looks as good a team as can pick with players we have. No hiding from certain players needed

I know he's not everyone's cup of tea but it's good to see Harkes back. Hopefully he can pick up from where he left off before the injury. Interesting Smith being dropped but I'm really not surprised.

I'm well aware how bad Brighitti is but Newman in my eyes is just as bad and not as experienced. I'm sure he will improve with more games but I don't think now is the time to do that. You can argue 2nd goal for County was similar to St Johnstone's first goal. and his kicking has been atrocious too. We can only hope the new goalie is decent (if that ever materialises) as we're in a dire place just now (no **** sherlock) and although it is the main reason we are in this situation there are a lot of other areas where we have been sadly lacking. All about opinions though 🤷*♂️.

If true, glad Smith is dropped. He's sh*te. Disappointed to see Mulgrew. Happy enough with Harkes.
