Irony is lost on you isn't it.

So you pointed out an immature comment but Elite is not allowed to do so?

    Double standards there Lulla!

Made it look to who? Just you. If you want to pretend that saying "You obviously haven't been outside of your bedroom for many years" wasn't childish and immature, then keep on digging by all means.

I haven't purchased a newspaper for 20 years, and haven't picked a horse from one for 30 years! Instead of concentrating on your deluded stereotypes you should try giving facts a go.

The difference is that Musk is apparently trying to influence UK politics through his vast wealth. Whether his vast wealth supports far right or far left that has to be wrong.

I don't see much difference, what Musk does or doesn't do, will happen over a parliamentary lifetime which is about the same length of time as a young person spends, exposed to left wing ideologies through sixth form and Uni but they, are getting it daily for hours, not the occasional tweet so it's potentially worse.

Seems we share the same view on politics Lullapie but I think, by historical standards, Elite Pie has been largely absent from these kind of conversations. Mind you, it's hard to shed an image once one has been formed of you on a forum such as this!

Following on from the conversation about education, I offer this piece on kids mental health and the shocking number of kids who claim to be affected with mental health issues. I also attach a line from the article, one that I think many people will agree is the obvious reason though I fully expect the label of 'dinosaur' to be attached again.

    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c4gp19n111vo

But some experts in the field of mental health have raised another question: that is, is there really a mental health crisis or are young people simply not resilient enough?

I'm certain that I know the answer.

Some experts .... you quote from that article (which is a good one), but what about this one?

'However not everyone is in agreement on the issue of resilience - or the questions around the potential downsides of greater mental health awareness.

Dr Shari McDaid, head of policy and evidence (Scotland and Northern Ireland) at the Mental Health Foundation, argues that any suggestion that increased awareness is to blame for rising rates of mental health problems is "misleading".'

The article ends in this way, which I agree with:

'So, perhaps the question at the heart of the mental health crisis is less about whether young people are resilient enough - but whether they can access sufficient support to become so.'

And that support, imo, begins at home.

Judging by the performance of PM's
( and Heads of State )particularly from the Blair/ Brown era, to the present time , perhaps, we should have televised psychiatric tests alongside the pre election campaign debates ?
How , have we arrived at a situation, whereby calls for public inquiries, into wholesale , serial and systemic offending of the worst possible kind, renders those advocates to be " jumping on a far right bandwagon ?"
Why, have the basic principles of "justice, " decency and right over wrong, become secondary to political interest and power ?

Politics is a dirty game and all sides use anything to score points. The thing is, the whole political spectrum is so tainted that spotting the truth is nigh on impossible. For all sides their way is the only way and anything anyone else says (no matter how sensible) is deemed wrong. I do think though that in this case KS is having a dig at Musk and his interference?
