Whats the point of having teachers on furlough? The money comes from the same budget.

Looks like Doncaster is one of the places where Covid-19 is on the rise, don't know about Rotherham as you have to subscribe to read the rest of the article, hope there's no second lockdown anyway.

Heard Barnsley mentioned as well as Doncaster now as areas with a lot of new cases so I bet Rotherham is similar.

Looks like there might be a chance of another lockdown here unfortunately.

Leicester re-lockdown to possibly be followed by Bradford, Rochdale, Oldham and Barnsley.

One of these places is not like the others.

What's been going on in Barnsley recently?

Language barriers there too? No-one can understand them when they call tea "tia" and car boots "car boo-its?

Oh and to answer my earlier question, Rotherham is 7th (don't know want happened with Doncaster, seem to have disappeared from the figures).

    Rate per 100,000

    Leicester 140.2
    Bradford 69.4
    Barnsley 54.7
    Rochdale 53.6
    Bedford 42.0
    Oldham 38.6
    Rotherham 33.6

That's small potatoes. Rural/farming counties here in Washington State are approaching 700 cases per 100,000

    So much ado about nothing

1 billion flu cases last year

10 million covid 19 cases this year.

650 thousand flu deaths in a bad flu year....any lockdown?

This lockdown has been a disaster. Protect the elderly and vulnerable by all means but everyone else should crack on.

I know many more people who have developed health issues due to the lockdown than those who had covid.
