    [quote="swaledale"?

Sure you may not agree with the responses (its a free country), but the posters on here have not ridiculed you just questioned some of your strange statements, some of which are below:

A player in the scottish championship cannot be any good

Why spend a million on a player who wont be near the first team

Any league 1 team could challenge Celtic

All U21 Players have been obtained free

No point in spending money on a player just to sit in the reserves

Buying the player will mean that potentially a better player wont be bought

To much money at £1 million, £900,000 despite no price being mentioned

Whilst some of the above may be an opinion, all of them plus some other comments are certainly not backed up by the facts as we know t

Morning RBF...okay, I'm bored, waiting for some no-show builders to turn up, so I'll bite.
You are, of course, entitled to your opinion and Cummings may be a) the next great Scottish discovery or b) an overrated waste of space or c) just another example of 'paper talk'.
Point is...you don't know because you have, unlike those that may make this decision, never seen him play and neither do you know how much he will cost.
Since this 'debate' began you have randomly suggested 'seven figures' i.e. at least one million, then 'at least six figures' i.e. at least £100,000 and now you have, equally randomly, suddenly settled on £500,000.
Until you have a clear idea of how much this relatively unproven youngster will cost and whether he has genuine talent, or is simply 'punching above his weight' because of the level he's currently at, then I just can't see how you expect your argument to have any credibility.
You and I have exchanged words about Weimann before, we have our different poi

But that is the whole point...we simply don't know! He might be brilliant - the next Malcolm Christie or Bobby Davison perhaps, Martin and Bent might get injured, he might be ludicrously expensive or the bargain of the year. We just don't know, but there are others, who actually do have informed opinions, who will decide...so until you actually do know better, why not just let them?

I'm not saying he's not a good a player! I don't have a clue what's he like! I'm saying we won't have anything to do with him if we did sign him! There's no point in him sitting on the sidelines, hoping that Martin and Bent both get injured. Therefore the money can be better spent elsewhere. Simple as that!

    Me too Rog!

Okay RBF...on the basis that, you don't...'have a clue what he's like!'...or what he'll cost...you're somehow still sure there's no point in signing him and the money can 'be better spent elsewhere'.
Time to move on I think.

Are you deliberately ignoring everything I've been saying? He's not better than Martin or Bent. He will definitely cost six figures. There is no point in signing a player for that money that will be stuck in the reserves. Therefore the money would be better spent on a first team player. How is that so hard to understand????
