Wouldn't expect much truth in this until someone at the club has confirmed it. As Anywho said, it's just echoing gossip.

In terms of would I have him, I don't think so. Do we need a striker? Not really. That's not even to mention that he's playing the SPL. Can't really judge how good a player is when he's playing against League Two sides. Chris Porter and Chris Maguire were both impressive in the SPL, on the other hand so were Bryson and Russell. I'd go for a no at this point in time. For me the SPL is only getting weaker and doing well at that level doesn't necessarily signal a diamond.

On that basis no player from below the championship would get signed by a bigger club!!

The guys only 20 and no doubt the scouts have seen more potential in him than the fact he is banging goals in regulary in the SPL.

All players are a gamble, even those clubs spend many millions on, so IF he has the right attributes and can be acquired at the right price, why not? Especially if we are looking to the future.

With our squad id rather us go for a young striker with potential rather than a McCormack or Austin. I'd hope clement has scouted him thoroughly and knows what he's doing, I see no reason to doubt that as yet. That is of course if this isn't all just rumour.

As things stand, he would probably come under the oft quoted category of 'one for the future'. U21 squad and see how he fared.

Gary Hooper was scoring goals for fun in the SPL and was supposedly in his prime. He couldn't get into the Norwich team.

I'd expect Hibs would want at least a seven figure sum for him and then what do we do with him? Let him warm the bench and then loan him out? I'd rather spend the money elsewhere.

In point of fact he's not even playing in the SPL is he?: aren't Hibs still in the Scottish Championship

Then that's even worse!!! I don't pay attention to Scotland so they just merge into one. The standard's too poor and at the end of the day it ends with Celtic winning.
