Aye throwing coins at United players during the game and grabbing hold of a young player last night equalises the situation.

    Phuking idiots.

No Terence it does not , just pointing out that United fans are far from perfect when Derbys are played.

They're having real issues dealing with the situation they've found themselves in, and that includes no shiny new stadium.
Ross reckons the Derby nastiness came from within our club at the time of ST but conveniently forgets the stuff that Callum Melville stirred up in some elements of the Dundee support and has gone on for years before ST. They consistently refer to us as the filth, DABS, Dab filth, C**ts, and so on, yet they blame US for the hatred. If it was my club's fans getting in that state, and we never did when they were playing in a league above us, I would want us to take a step back and just calm it all down a bit.
I can understand their frustration because they get no encouragement from their owners and the connection between our owners and the returning support is growing by the week. And if my club let our stadium fall apart I'd be frustrated too. Difference is I'd want to take it out on the club, not the fans of a rival club.
    Fantastic post 👏🏻👏🏻

I do blame forums and social media and I said that next door. It is interesting their take on it and who they blame.

Hear what your saying OA but, the bile, hatred whatever you want to call it has been around long b4 the www.com. I’m old enough to remember walking doon the hultoon after derbys and being bombarded with bricks always from a distance though fae the Derry rhumba, that doesent happen anymore?.Guys at my old mans age including he himself refuse to talk to each other through their allegiance to local teams. Example my old man would have loved for the dee to have folded into oblivion during the admin period as in gone forever, so would lots of guys his age. I just dont get that kinda (rivalry) to heavy for me. Thats nothing to do with the internet mate. BTW exactly the same attitude from across the road in that generation.

They have always been extra seething about us than vice versa as we eclipsed them, took the city top dog mantle and have kept it for decades bar the odd blip, what is really getting to them is after our meltdoon in 2015 and subsequent relegation they really got themselves excited and worked up about being the cities only premier team as they had not been that since the late 1950s

They thought they'd have a chance to reverse this, be the top dogs, take advantage of us being doon, grow their fan base etc, all they got was three chronic seasons of them being dundee fc and getting beat most weeks, in front of poor home crowds, not being a good representation of the city as they look small time, while for the most part apart from a period under Laszlo, our support stayed the course despite the off field stuff and failing in play offs a couple times which they got to enjoy, they also got to narrowly beat us in the league cup while we were doon (although we had bettered them in group on pens prior)

Then they fall to a pitiful relegation, so not only did they not take advantage of us being doon, they didn't make our time down feel worse by performing well in League or Cup, we'd have felt worse if they were riding high in our absence, instead seeing the scores every week or watching them ripped at home 7-0 on TV to the sheep in front of about 2k home fans just gave laughter and entertainment

They didn't even get a decent cup run of any note, no visits to Hampden

Fast forward and they are doon with us, seeing us on the way back having got our shyt together, the vibrancy and unity back at United, a re*****ised support with stability building, well ahead of them, already got the better of the head to head for the session with a derby to spare, crowds up to a level they couldn't get in the top flight and them being bang average on a a big budget with less pts at this stage than we have had at any point since we come down

It's very much eating at them and they still have all the other ongoing fun runs that wind then up, 1910 never again, 46 years ywfa, no final for 16 years, no win at Tannadice since 2004 etc.

    Pleasing
