It was Vickers actually and MT said he thought it was a fantastic idea and he was happy to keep it going.

If I got a new boss in my job I'd have a lot more respect for one who was willing to take on board existing ideas that work rather than somebody who just rips up everything that isn't 'their way'

Apologies to them both then but it was said.
I also said some rules might be good

Naming Richard Wood with out proof is rash, after the information given on here, was from the poster,
who said his mate was told on the bus by another fan, that Wood had gone to Tony Stewart.
I would be wary in naming a player without proof, in case the player decides to take legal advice.

You might be the kind of person who would be happy to get paid for doing nothing, but I think we all know Richard Wood would rather be in the team and earning his wage.

Totally agree and I for one would like to see him back in the team for Friday.

Regardless of what has happened between MT and Wood, there's absolutely no excuse for RW not to be on the bench at least on Friday. If Humphreys or BW are injured, we have no like for like replacement and would have to play someone unfamiliar in the CB position. Far too big a risk to take - and for what reason?!

MT needs to come out and say that he isn't prepared to pick Wood if that's the case. In my opinion he's making himself look a bit daft by repeatedly saying Wood is fit and available, and then not including him in the squad when it's obvious we're short at the back and things aren't working.

Wood is not the long term answer, but he could certainly be the answer for 8 games.

Do we really all know that?

Sounds as though he wasn’t too happy when he missed the bus to Derby
