But as we know Luke Williams and Ryan Hartley know best and went with the youngster and it paid off. I trust their decisions whoever they select on Tuesday, why wouldn't we?

In the Tinker Man we trust.

Yellow warning for rain tomorrow. Those yellow cards might bite us on the arse come Saturday…

We could really do without a postponement. Newport are in awful form before we even think about what the suspensions carried over to Saturday would mean.

Fair bit of rain forecast in the morning, but nothing after 1 or 2pm. Can’t see that causing much of a problem.

    Now wouldn't that be ironic

If they were 'staged bookings' and tomorrow's game is off because of the weather then for me its a best laid plans and all that and wouldn't attach any blame although I might attach some to of their previous silly bookings
TBH we have picked up far too many bookings for a team that doesn't make many tackles and as as much possession as we do.
The same as Archie Mair in the playoff final we had a plan and if he had let a couple of pens slip through his fingers and we had lost LW wouldn't be as popular.

Very much doubt the game will be off. I cannot see the pitch being a problem. The only thing that would postpone the game in my eyes, is if the Trent flooded, and closed roads close to the ground, which would be very unlikely.

I hadn’t really thought about this, but it seems plausible. We know LW talks a lot about having to manage players and listening to the sports science guys with who plays Saturday/Tuesday. With Cameron having been injured last week and McGoldrick being someone we know needs to be managed to some extent with his age, it’s possible we knew pre-game they wouldn’t be able to start both matches, which makes the ‘oops I’ve got a yellow’ stuff make a bit more sense.

Fans always fear for postponements at Meadow Lane due to either a cold snap or heavy rain but in reality very few actually get called off. This is will be the most intriguing and interesting team selection of the season to date.
