However, our motor mouth manager has said we will challenge and that his teams always do better in the second half of the season. Both seem really unlikely particularly as he's dialled down on his recruitment expectations. We will see.

As far as season ticket renewals go I think SE may have run out of road this time after so many previous hyped up statements so your optimism is probably misplaced and about as reliable as your 2-1 predictions 🙂
    Should say TS not SE.

So in other words, Hugill is staying put because he has not found another club and we are not going to sub his wage for him to move.

I thought that at least would have happened.

Hugill needs to be pushed out, he needs to leave for his own career and for the benefit of Rotherham United, if he is putting money ahead of playing then he is a fool because every footballer interviewed always says playing is the thing. However some people are so money focused they can't see beyond that, perhaps he is one of those.
Perhaps Evans is waiting to get a couple in the door before he gets direct with Hugill and makes it clear he isn't part of the plans, who knows.
What is interesting in the interview is that a player has asked for extra time to look at all his options, I thought Evans said we only wanted players that wanted to be at the club, the two statements are not aligned.

It is good he states that TS has told him that the money recovered from the business is available.

Basically, I like many others, are sick of all the false promises and even double talk. Mainly from Evans.

In coming? I doubt it. All we hear from all concerned at NYS is PR rubbish. All funnelled through mouthpiece Evans and soaked up by the tizer.

Cost cutting exercise. Yes, we had dead wood like Tihei, Hugebill, replaced then by others.

Anyone who places any faith in the hot air is on a hiding to nothing…..just about where the club is going. We will not get anything in January, we never do, we never have the money these days. It’s a long cry from 10 years ago when the likes of Tavernier was brought in.

Disappointment is coming, the sooner we accept that the better.

.........and yet we have Evans stating that Stewart has asked him why he's not spent his money yet?

More bull or is there some truth in all this hot air?

How stupid does SE think the fans are? Multiple bids gone in money to spend pull the other one basically in the grand scheme of things we are Rotherham and are low in the food chain as regards better quality players coming to us I personally think the Hugill situation is effecting the budget Osong and Hungbo went back because they could and weren’t getting picked anyway Teihi and McCart went because they didn’t want to be here the fees obtained and previous ones of Rathbone etc are going on daily operating costs and presumably for TS to recoup some finance before a sale
We’ll end up if we’re lucky one permanent and a couple of loans to flesh the squad out that suits me fine but tell the fans how it is as they are fed up of the bull, obviously this doesn’t sound as good but it’s nearer the mark than rubbish spouted about transfer fees
