The thing with Brooks, he wasn't ready for League 2 football. Plus we had 2 other reserve keepers so why keep a 3rd?

Everybody's correct in hindsight. It's a wonderful thing

I have never seen him play so can?t judge him but based on where he has played in his young career you might be right. Would you start him ahead of Slocombe at the business end of the season in League Two? Sounds risky

You do not turn down in excess of ?400,000 for a soon to be out of contract player, especially if he wants away as suggested. Absolute no brainer. The issue is trying to replace well at a late stage and for a reasonable price. The club did not try to but we know this is the approach, more long term, and that recruitment has served us very well so far

Think all this talk is pretty offensive. SS isn't as good as Bass - he's prone to a ricket when passing it out short but he's a decent shot stopper and he's experienced and knows the team.

I'd rather have him in goal than some rust bucket who's not trained properly for months.

Lets hope we can stay in the play offs until Bass is back which hopefully he'll be back by then. I think we can forget about autos now though, I like Slocombe but he's no Bass.

If we are 4 up on Saturday with 10 minutes to go then bring young Milai Perott on.
We might need him for the play off final.
