A case for quarantine for all passengers at point of entry and not letting them travel on?

"Meanwhile the three Scottish residents had flown to Scotland from Brazil via Paris and London, the Scottish government said."

Who the fu*k are these people? It must be work related at a very high level to let them travel through so many places.

think is though mate we're tested before mobilisation, during isolation, before we go offshore and when we get back onshore we need a test for flying to uk which takes around 4 days so we're getting plenty tests

Looks like it OA. That's hell of a lot of commuting going on there though, especially at this crucial time of the crisis. Strange indeed.

I see new Daily Infections are on the way down again and i hope to bring a huge lump of positivity into this tomorrow from that. The talk off this new new Brazil mutation does bring in a bit of reality back in though.

And guess what? They're about to be removed again thanks to a two week Easter break followed by a seven week summer break.

Infections also started to rise when restaurants opened back up. Has the hospitality trade not been closed the same amount of time as schools? Look at that chart and tell me why there is no clamour for those in the hospitality trade to be prioritised when they go back in 4/6 weeks time.

Essential shop workers have been working in the face of it since day one but not a peep about them either. Join the queue like the rest of us.

I think you are picking on the wrong person here as i believe ALL public facing people should be vaccinated sooner rather than later if the desire is there to head back to normal. Part of the list has been mentioned in several posts by several people in the last few pages.

My stance with teachers and their STAFF is 1, my wife is a staff member, and 2, i dont think the data that people are relying on was gathered in the right circumstances when their risk was minimal.

I believe a 28 year old classroom assistant in Northern Ireland passed away after a positive Covid test recently!

With the dominant Kent strain, younger people are getting severe symptoms, ending up in hospital and passing away.

Up to December 2020? The schools were back for quite a time in that spell. During the summer teachers and support staff wouldn't be working so to get data for anything teaching related would be impossible normally anyway. Also, during the first lock-down almost all business were closed or incredibly quiet. I think it IS comparable and it's the only data available.
