The left I identify with had coal dust in their eyes , cement under their finger nails and actually had proper jobs before moving in to politics through union work or other platforms .

The liberal left you have a problem with Fire could fecking live anywhere , New York , Amsterdam or even Brussels if they wanted to , university education and careers who have greatly benefited from globalisation

Citizens of absolutely no place .

Meanwhile back in the real world folk in areas like ours don't have that choice so they voted in the EU referendum to make the UK the best they thought it could be for them .

They were called out by these liberal left feckers as stupid , racist , xenophobic and thick .

It was a monumental mistake because the people doubled down on their vote and kicked the very party that's supposed to represent them out of the red wall .

The truth is nobody represented them anymore it just happened to be that the Tory Party promised to take us out of the EU and actually nothing more than that .

It's to be hoped that the present leader as clever as he is recognises that he'd better remember why this party was formed , the fundamentals it stood on because his direction of travel if my instinct serves me right and going back to 1997 never did makes me nervous .

It's not my job to tell you who to vote for Shark with all due respect .

That's totally up to you to walk through the process before you vote .

Fair enough. What's your point then?

The only point I'm making in my opinion is we are where we are right now and possibly why we are where we are .

Maybe the whole system is out of date , maybe we need a more federal way of doing things and place greater power in local communities .

Devolution within even England , maybe the present system is actually detrimental to everyone other than the 1% .

All I will say is that working class folk fighting amongst themselves irrespective of creed and religion only keeps everyone down .

You can top topple any statue you want but unless it makes a change to your own economic prospects then why bother with it .

Maybe you only reconcile with slavery because the system makes you feel like one perhaps .

Who the feck in the left of the Labour Party thought it was a good idea to offer up RLB as their candidate in the leadership campaign ?

    She's a schoolgirl , a light weight , a non entity and I'm being kind at that .

Nobody in their right mind of left wing substance would even put her on a short list never mind anything else .

I'll leave you with this one , put Jeremy Corbyn , Tony Blair , Keir Starmer and George Galloway together in a room and talk about the working class and the Labour Party on the internet and I'll tell now , Galloway would wipe the floor with the lot of em .

He wouldn't even break sweat .

Totally unelectable mind but that's the world we have to live in .
Good point. Who in their right minds would have thought of RLB as a possible Labour leader?

I've found one of the culprits on this thread:

As a thread it's a good read (raging barely able to contain his joy at coming second and looking to building on Corbyn's success), but check out post 51 where some loony sets out his choices for next Labour leader as Chuka Umuana and Rebecca Long-Bailey - a very talented young lady.

Seems evidence can be found on footymad.

Recalling and regurgitating a post from 3 years ago is a bit unsettling.

Better to recall a post that actually exists though, don't you think? Some posters on here recall stuff that was never typed in the first place.

Hearts and minds and all that.
