That's bit disingenuous. They were Ukrainian separatists backed, armed and encouraged by Russia. So acting as Russian proxies and hence Russians in the wider use of which side in a conflict.

It does seem that the latest incident may have possibly been a Ukranian missile but one has to ask, why did they feel the need to fire it ? Only one side to blame for that.

Probably also worth noting that an air defence missile used in its air defence role is supposed to detonate on or near its target (in the air), or after a miss. They are absolutely not supposed to crash into the ground and detonate their warhead. For that to happen the missile either needs to malfunction or be configured in ground attack mode.

Of course a misconfiguration by Ukrainian operators is possible, and so is a malfunction. I have no conclusive information as yet.

I'm just saying though, if it was a Ukrainian missile, that's a lot of coincidences.

Three Russians and a Ukrainian were charged, all four of them currently living in Russia.

The only reason Ukraine is firing missiles is to stop the onslaught they are facing from Russian missiles.

Hang in a minute. Let’s not be so quick to discount the wealth of investigative expertise we’re so lucky to have on this very forum!!!

The ever-knowledgeable Jampie first bemuses that troop exhaustion combined with sheer incompetence could have been the culprit:

But then he goes on to imply that there are just so many coinky-dinks that the Ukrainians may have attacked Poland deliberately:

Wow! But why on earth would Ukraine commit to such an act of madness???

Clearly not nearly as much as you cheer for strikes on Russia:

In all seriousness though, I seem to be the only one in this Fred hoping for a negotiated peace agreed to by both parties. Everyone else seems to want to fight until one side or the other wins outright.

Not entirely sure where you get the 'one side or the other' part from. A quick straw poll will likely conclude the only person who gets even close to wanting Russia to win is yourself. I am quite happy for a negotiated peace, with Russia having withdrawn from all of Ukraine territory including that annexed in 2014.

If you mean negotiating peace, to include how Russia will have to make reparations for the terrible damage they have inflicted upon Ukraine then I'm all for it.

You seem to think that it would mean everyone just packing up their weapons and going home.
