Lincs - the cloughs infamous 'TARTAN SWING'....and cardboard sliding down't 'Boiler field'

Barstewards have just burnt down part of Clough nurseries.....on the old 'Clough House' lands.....It was in the Advertiser recently....

Yeah I remember the swing, and Clough House, sad to hear about the fire, the one time owners son used to be in the same fishing club as me, The New Inn, I think his name was Edwin. There also used to be some ponds next to the rail track, may have been " Cloggy's"
And tennis courts, and an old small iron foundry

Sounds right to me....thinking back how much free roaming we did with mates in that area.....I would never let my kids that much freedom.....Having said that - everyone knew everyone so if misdemeanours did happen the parents knew before you got home and I think my kids let slip a few jaunts that we were unaware of.....kids will always be kids.
