i cant believe some of the posts in this thread. geez talk about glass half empty.
if we hold on for 2 more minutes your talking about how well the lads saw the game out. we didnt and its all negatives...
peterbourgh had 4 shots on target, 2 of those my grandad could have saved. we absolutely dominated a possible playoff competitor and all peeps can do is slag our manager or praise evans

Hang on Cayton. We played well for most of the game but Evans definitely out did Warne in the last 10 minutes. That's not slagging anybody off or praising the other one. It's fact and most people accept that reality.

He didn’t out do Warne at all.
The constant adulation of Evans is embarrassing they were one of the worse teams to visit us this season.
It was down to our own mistakes nothing to do with Evans.
    Cayton is correct.

Hang on mellow. What exactly did Evans do to out do warne? Change formation?
    Make tactical subs?
Tell his players to play sht for 90 min and knock it in the extra time?

The game run for 98 minutes. You think Evans out did warne in the last 10 min. That would suggest warne out did Evans for 88 minutes..

What would you have said if warne didn't pull Smith back and one of the CB scored ? Basically dammed if you do. Dammed if you don't..
Warne made one mistake yesterday and that was Williams for towell. Wood would have been a better option though if his plan was pull Smith back, Williams carrying the ball out is a good alternative..

Evans used his subs much earlier and I think that helped during that monsoon downpour.

Other than that there was a lot to be pleased about in the performance

It's not adulation, it's admiration. Peterborough had been outplayed and outclassed for most of the game but they were only one goal down.
Towell got injured and, unbelievably, Warne brought Williams on when Wood was the obvious choice.
Evans pushed both his centre halves forward, his usual tactic late on when he's trying to salvage something from a game.
Warne dragged everyone back and we had no out ball.
When Rodak got the ball in the dying stages every single outfield player was in the final third of the pitch towards our goal. Rodak had no-one to give the ball to so he just booted it up field. Their keeper collected it and sent it straight back. They scored and we dropped two precious points.
If you defend as deep as we did in the last 10 minutes you invite pressure and Evans exploited that as he has done so many times before.
Just my opinion, but our game management late on was poor.

    Agree Mellow
Warney made the mistake and Evans took advantage imo

So Warne outwitted Evans for most of the game then ?
So Warne is a better Manager then obviously?

I could have understood the Williams substitution if the intention was to use him as the out ball to exploit the gaps left by both their centre halves being pushed forward. Unfortunately he spent most of the time crammed into the last third of the pitch just like everyone else.
