    Peterborough United Post Match Thoughts

Good Friday for everyone ruined by a late equaliser, even those of us who had to work and suffer getting their match updated from BBC texts. Magic number is down to 14 and we are now mathematically safe from relegation.

Thoughts on what in the end could be two important points lost rather than one gained?

Gutted. I think they played on until they scored. Played 11 mins of injury time and I just knew it was going to happen.

Charlton are hitting a bit of form too so coupled with that late goal I think it is going to be a very difficult game with the pack closing fast.

Yep defended far too deep in the last few mins. The ref was a toss pot but we are used to that eh? We should have been outta sight anyway with the chances we missed. Got the feeling Newell was trying too hard against his former club and manager. We can't afford to slip up at Charlton now.

Two decent sides and a draw - memories of that Evo 'no surrender' spirit. Neither side would do well in the Championship without more experience/strengthening

One thing I am pleased about is that if we do get em in the play offs we are more than capable of beating em because they weren't much cop.

Before the match I was thinking that these are games we must not lose and would have been happy with a draw but having worked ourselves into a good position to take one of the teams clean out of the play off picture, we lost momentum with Towell’s injury and then they played their get out of jail card. Still we got the breaks against Donny but the luck went against us today. When you have a quality player up front like Jack, one chance & that’s it.

Gutting but we’ve done it enough to the opposition ourselves enough this year so, we move on. No time to dwell on things.

Maybe so roly, but over the two games we've had thus far, they're the ones who'd go through

I think the time they equalised was perfectly OK. They has 2 injuries in the 2nd half, along with Mattock. Then a bunch of substitutions. 6 minutes was understandable IMO. Then Towell went down injured in injury time. They score. The only bit I didn't get was the extra time after they scored. Fair enough other than that.

Rotherham had a great deal of lazy shooting today, really poor.

Don't think Peterborough deserved anything from the game but they played to the final whistle.
