Costs per day figures were from yesterday’s Home Office report to Parliament

Local figures from RMBC website regarding last year’s budget and forthcoming financial year budget projections

and no wonder hotels don't mind if they are getting 127 per person per day. We use to pay about 75 per day for the two of us to stay in the Holiday Inn at Wath and really liked it there. Now according to TripAdvisor (and ELK's) reviews it is primarily used for refugees and is a nightmare to stay at (and unfortunately for the staff who used to be great).

That's quite an accounting rounding error when 1.2 million per day actually turns out to be 4.7 million per day.

It’s not primarily used for refugees it’s entirely used for refugees.

As for the “rounding error” they only gave the cost of the Afghan refugees and conveniently forgot about the other asylum seekers that they had squirrelled away in hotels, some of which have been there for years.

In Rotherham’s case there is more spent on housing refugees than on local school kids education.

    Sorry I missed this.

OK, let's look at EXACTLY what we both said.

    You claimed:
"They get really good money for housing migrants, 4 or 5 times more than your standard paying guest, you can se wht its attractive to Britannia group who own the "Grand" at Scarbados which also is housing migrants"

Your claim was that the Brittania group get paid 4 or 5 times more than standard guests for asylum seekers.

On 13th December I asked you to provide a link of where you got your information from that prompted your claim and wagered £100 to Rotherham hospice that you would be unable to do so - I was right.

I asked because I wanted to identify the sorts of places you were getting information from, part of the wager was that you shared the source of the exact claim you made.

You then posted a Daily Mail article from almost a month LATER. This was not your source unless you are a time traveller. This did not prove your claim, mentioned nothing of Britannia group, and instead discussed 4* hotels.

I've shown you exactly what you claimed, and exactly what the wager was for. You're just trying to wriggle out of it because you read something from a right-wing source, probably a social media post, misunderstood or blindly accepted its claims, and then parroted them here.

    There's a theme.

Share your link that proves your claim that Britannia get 4-5x more for an asylum seeker or pay up. Or even that 4* hotels are typically costing £31.25 a night - as I generously also said I would accept even though totally irrelevant to the original wager.

It's you that needs to admit you were wrong. I've laid out the evidence, don't just hide behind "it's proven in an article [from the future]" because you know full well what you claimed isn't.

Holiday Inn at Wath-on-Dearne have cleared all the seating forms from outside the hotel, probably because when
anyone going to Aldi next door, they could see refugees sat outside, some with cans of beer.
One Aldi employee told me that some of the refugees were sending their kids in to pinch alcohol, mainly cans of
lager or beer, when caught, they let them go, a waste of time prosecuting.

Same old stuff on here blame asylum seekers and muslims for all our countries problems and all the worlds woes. Why not blame the real idiots who are in charge of this country and the world.

    Never mind eh?

Scapegoats R us...blame the weakest members of society rather than the most powerful.

Why not be more vocal against the powerful rather than the powerless? When you have stopped doffing your caps to them that is...

I don't know if you're being intentionally deceitful, or just not lacking the capacity to understand why your replies are so poor.

I said typical 4* hotel price. You've cherry picked a specific hotel unrelated to the article... and how many stars is it?

I'll give you a clue, it's not 4. You pay up!

Accusing me of having Kerr as an alias is incredibly flattering. It simultaneously complements me, while also making you look a bit daft! Keep at it!

Dunno why GM would think you were a kerr clone because kerr agrees with everything GM says .

Kerr is your friend GM. He will correct your mistakes and argue your case for you. Don't bite the hand that feeds you that is my advice to you from your uncle Roly.
