Agreed Grist, there is no evidence that PW was unhappy with the recruitment process, in fact his interviews came across as if he was supportive of a group decision process. Seems to me that some on here want to protect the PW image no matter what by re-writing history. He did a very good job for us in L1 (that is why Derby recruited him), the squad of players at Rotherham United are a PW squad, to say they are not is rose tinted madness, he was in charge for 6 years!!!. I think we would all agree that PW and previous managers were frustrated with the budgetary limits imposed, the counter to that is our club has financial stability, our players get paid and we don't have to sell the family silver to keep the lights on.

It's not about protecting anybody's image.
I prefer to deal with what I know rather than post a wall of words based on speculation and prejudice.

and if what mellow says is true and PW has told him, that means PW lied to the fans via his interviews, not good either way is it? I think mellow just won't deal with the original point of my post, what do the fans think of the 11 players we signed during the last window, we are a 3rd of the way through the season I think we can form an opinion on what we have or haven't seen.

Not sure about the lies but from my perspective PW towards the end of his reign used the Rotherham Advertiser to put a personal spin on events. Many I suspect were snippets to keep the fans happy and to deflect criticism.

Most people who work for companies toe the party line and don't go round shooting their mouths off on social media because they probably wouldn't be in a job too long if they did. If you think that makes them liars then I can't change that.

Yates I said on here 1st time I seen him he looked a player that was think before Warney became manager. Not a fan of Humphreys or Bramall. McCart rate only seen him once but he's a player.

Humphreys is one of the few players throughout the entire squad who can get his foot on the ball, show a bit of composure and pick a pass, rather than hoof it. He's what you need in the Championship, this ain't league 1.
