Agree entirely with gwru for once. We need a ch who. Can play rb, a forrud and a left back. Bramall is quick which can bail him out at times but his positional sense is woeful at times. I also thought we were weakened when ollie and green went off for no obvious reason. Also Jesus going off weakened us admittedly knacked.if those players had stayed on all game we wunt have lost and may even had won. The subs bench needs to be better. My hope us once we get over this spare of injuries that will be it for the season generally. My fear is this is a constant recurring thing. If it is summat aint right unless this is common in football today.

Encouraged by the performance. Crap ref once again and linesman . It's allus like playing 13 men every week in this league.

Still need that first win under the belt Then we can crack on. Next week's game might not be it tho

Bramall knows he made mistakes, he held his hands up when going round pitch to fans

I like Cohen, but he left the goalscorer on his own for the whole game, was he told to do this,if so,then this was rank bad management.

I've yet to speak to anyone who went to the game that isn't pleased with the way we played.
throughout the team we looked like we belonged in the company of what is probably one of the automatic promoted teams.
As i said last week we are a striker from a half decent champtionship side.
Hugill improved today but still not shown his best, Eaves is dross.
No one has mentioned to 2 penalty shputs we should have had, and I could not see any reason for Hugills goal not to stand, saying that the ref did OK today though our expectations of them aren't very high.
We just lack strength in depth and for our first eleven to get upto speed, Christ needs more matches for that.
Hopefully new signings of the like we have had already and we will be fine,

We have matured into a Championship team.

We still need to make that a Championship squad.

Then the club needs to develop into a proper Championship club.

This season we’ve made massive strides to do what we need to do.

Everyone who’s been a part of this journey deserves some sort of credit for what they’ve achieved.
There’s been successful periods with Evans, Warne Warnock and drastic failures with Stubbs and Jackett but all of them adjacent been learning periods.
Hopefully we’ll have a sound base created in the next 2 years.

We look like a Championship team!

Dewsbury-Hall was brilliant as a player, but he is not a good referee and yet throughout the game every decision he was at the ref, a strong ref would have booked him for his dive in his own penalty area and made it clear that he wouldn't tolerate them in his face all game. The disallowed goal was terrible decision, it was Faes that got that overturned.
As good as we played, and we were very good for large parts of the game, we had 1 shot on target and they had 7, our front-line is very, very weak and I think we need two forwards this week, I know we won't get them. Hugill, moans and complains too much, if he spent as much time playing as moaning, he might actually score a goal or at least be able to get an effort on target. We showed some real quality, but the depth of squad destroyed us. Football isn't a fair playing field, it hasn't been for years, but it is getting worse, parachute payments should be to support the EFL not individual teams and should be distributed based on an independent assessment of how well a club runs its finances, that would transform the way clubs are run in the EFL and the Premier league. However, I think MT made some big substitute mistakes yesterday, that made us weaker than we needed to be. Leicester had made their 2 big changes before we had to change our midfield. Tiehi had to come off but Rathbone could have stayed on for the extra 10 mins. We could have brought on Morrison for Tiehi and changed the formation which they wouldn't have expected. Cafu could have gone deeper and central mid and allowed Bramall and dexter to push up a bit, therefore pushing their wide players back, if one of those was too tired Bola could have replaced them. We only had to hold out for 10 mins but putting on Kayode and McGuckin made us basically a 9-man team and vastly reduced the experience on the pitch, the subs were the wrong call. If Morrison club captain can't play 10 mins at this level and bring something to the party on £10k a week he shouldn't be at the club.
Was going to break down a few points that I feel were astray, but I don't think it is even necessary. I get the whole 'should have done this, shouldn't have done that' points. However, we lost because Bramall misjudged a diagonal ball. Pretty much that. The subs undoubtedly weakened us, but that didn't have a direct impact on us losing.

And you don't need to shoehorn the bashing of Morrison again. It isn't merited in this debate. You can't question whether he can play 10 minutes just because the manager opted against putting him on. I think he has looked incredibly clunky when he has played so far, but that is hugely unfair and included purely to reinforce an opinion you have.

Yes the two penalty claims,we should have had one in the first half and then the one that Eaves should have scored from, the Leicester player clearly handles the ball.Overall I was impressed with the performance and had we been able to keep the same eleven on, I think we would have got the result.Decisions had to be made because the new lads are not fully 100% fit as yet.Our big problem is we have no strikers at the club and surely we will be bringing in two this week.Eaves and Kayode are no where near championship standard and Hugill is very limited on what he can bring in the goalscoring dept. There were a lot of positives to take out and we are trying to play football we've not seen for a long time.We just need that threat up front and we'll be more than capable of holding our own at this level.

Yes it is an opinion I have, like it is an opinion you have that my comment was unfair. Oh the irony of you passing opinion about my post and then telling me I can't have an opinion. Why so many people on here struggle with the basic premise of a Forum Board is beyond me, it is basically a place where people post their views and opinions and hopefully can have a discussion with others that may or may not agree with those opinions and views. I am perfectly happy that you disagree with the points I made, but playing the righteous A hole that thinks he can tell others what to think and what they can and can't comment on is not on.

Now to help you understand the basic idea of a discussion, I think the comment you made that the weakening of the team by the subs didn't have a direct impact on us losing, is inaccurate. I think that because by doing the subs we did, we created a situation, that reduced potential opportunities to relieve the pressure. This was because Kayode cannot hold a ball up, McGuckin gave the ball away numerous times when a more simplier pass was on. The consequence of those and other factors led to us being put under more pressure in the final third and not in a position to create any chances at the other end. When we did get the ball out wide to Dexter (who was outstanding) he put a first rate cross into Eaves, yes he was unlucky hitting the player, but it wasn't the best header either.

Now you might totally disagree with that assessment and have seen it a different way, and that is great please share your observations on how you saw the game, but do not try and tell me or others what we can and not think and whether we can post those thoughts and opinions about a RUFC football match on a RUFC Football discussion board.

Where did I say you can't have an opinion?
