Hugely dissatisfied with recruitment so far would have hoped that 5 or 6 more would have been recruited ready for pre season start on Monday we are dreadfully short on numbers and so far the players brought in don’t seem to match the quality of last seasons recruitment by a stretch. We need at least 3 more perms and another 4 loans in so I hope for a lot more numbers in next week. This of course can be reduced if CBR and Adebisi re sign.

I imagine that the loan numbers will as usual not be complete till the end of pre-season/start of season, as clubs decide whether to keep players in or send out on loan (and where) after looking at them in pre-season first. Hopefully we'll at least have a second keeper in next week, and some triallists may actually have a chance of signing this year. In an ideal world we'll have as many videos needing to be posted on the OS next week as this!

I suppose today is the final day of contracts so there'll start to be business announced everywhere from tomorrow. Of course, that might be the signal for the departures of Rio and CBR. We do need to have a couple more permanent before Portugal.
I would also hope that we can manage to get some effective loaness. You would think that Newcastle and Brighton could trust us to send someone decent.

If we can keep CBR and Rio we will be in a good position, although I'm not that hopeful, but it is decision time, regardless we are probably still short in midfield and obviously need a goal keeper. We will get Powell back but not sure when he will be ready to play again. I still think we should look at Leigh as he is set to leave Preston, just a thought. Another White would be good if Newcastle have another on there books.

Gone a bit quiet again, hasn't it?
Thought we might have heard about Rio and CBR by now. Am I being impatient. How many had we signed at this stage last year? I seem to remember MickeyD signed quite late on last season.

I see Nathan Wood, one of our loans in 2021 is moving from Swansea to Southampton for 5 million. I remembered his name but can't remember much about him.

Slow movement with transfers and the boys heading to Portugal (surely a week's training in the sun may have enticed some out-of-contract players)....CRB and Rio I assume are still packing sunblock?
All over the web earlier this week was a game with Real Majorca, however, I assumed it was in the Fantasy League?, followed by Stafford Rangers. Realistically, it's still slim pickings on the transfer front.

I think it was announced officially by the club, but behind closed doors so no use to any of us.
