What they do need to do if he goes is have someone lined up and agreed beforehand, not scratching about and giving the bargaining power to any potential incumbent knowing we have no manager.
I can?t see LW as I?d imagine he?s targeting the champ and champ wages and I?m probably think the same with Buckingham.

Williams or Des Buckingham for that matter isnt going to get another head coach job at championship level, id be surprised even at Lesgue 1. Thats why getting him back in would make so much sense for all parties.

It maybe of course that he is happy to take an assistant/coaching role closer to home so if thats the case we have no chance.

Sadly, I fear he is staying.
    I doubt it

    With you.
If he stays, we'll have a bigger problem than SM as Head Coach, we'd have to look at our owners in an entirely new light.

Choking away 2 seasons from prime positions, no gumption shown in absolutely pivotal games, just succumbing to lame defeats as promotion slips away. The manner of these capitulations points to only one course of action. Only fools would do otherwise.

They'll give him another year. They will think he was unlucky with injuries and probably feel slightly guilty on him for selling Crowley mid season and not adequately replacing him. They will think with a years more experience plus a few new players and a hopefully clearer injury list, that he's their man.

I struggle with someone who has never really been good for us, who's win rate isn't great and who hasn't pulled any trees up in a very weak league, doesn't display any tactical innovation especially with players out. We still nearly went up automatically despite our best efforts to not do this which shows how poor the league was.

Why can't we just have a proper manager, Bradford got one and look what happened to them. I will support Notts and SM if he is still here but he needs to get his head in the game next season, we need to be alot more dominant especially at home. Sort it out Stu!

Is that a hunch or is there more to it?

Might have completely the wrong person but you are about as ITK as we get these days on here?

At this stage a lot of us are just desperate for some good news to get us just a smidge of optimism back.

I cant bear the thought of heading into next season with him at our club.

Give or take a word or suggestion or two that's exactly what I (and others) have thought and said about the playing style for the last two seasons. It's so predictable and so easy for clever teams to sit back and counter.
