Last season when we won then drew 3 we were apparently finished, shouldn't have recruited LW and the owners never learned from the IB appointment. Its a transition to a new league, this isn't even a league game, I'll say now what I said then, give it 10 games and see where we are.

There's only been 1 league game, are we seriously saying the manager and the squad from last year (which is virtually the same) have thrown in the towel or started playing a different way already or the jumps to high after getting 107 points?

Nobody is saying they have thrown in the towel. What most people are saying is that some members of the same squad as last season aren't capable of stepping up to a higher division. And this constant "107 pts last season" isn't a benchmark for this season when taking the relevant opposition ability into account.

We didn't creep into the playoffs, we did smash it, but we didn't smash the playoffs (or the final) did we? Our playing style was negated and but for a couple of remarkable goals we would still be in the NL.

Well it is a benchmark that should give confidence, we didn't just creep into the play offs and somehow got up, we absolutely smashed it and historically that's a good sign, Stockport had to adapt last season and came good. That said i do believe we need at least one more very decent defender and that's on the assumption Tipton is up to the challenge.
