My favourite are those who demand 2 quality players in every position, every season and an overall squad capable of handling the loss of key players regardless of cost, club finances. It?s not realistic in the slightest but fair play their unsustainable and finically reckless approach would definitely give us a better chance of promotion each season

Feels like all the risks wether calculated or actual
mistakes have bit us on the ar5e this season.
I was concerned about keeper back up and this happens.

We sell Nemane who I was 50-50 on but never replaced properly and backfired. At the time Tarsoulla and Gordon were marketed as squad players and they?ve been the starters primarily.

We then probably have quite a lot of budget in Crowley, JJ and Didzy who on their day you could argue can be the best creative players in this league and all have been out for long periods.

Leaves yer thinking who?s next to get injured, agree with Durham I can?t see JJ back fully match fit for games, maybe playoffs if we end up in them. With that in mind we desperately need some of the Jan signings to step up in the run in, has to to start asap.

Brooks was no better than stones or slocombe.

Not at all, I thought it was right to let stone go but also keep Slocombe as backup.
I don?t think Slocombe is a bad keeper, Bass is just a very good one.
Brookes offered nothing above what the others did, you?re just doing your usual trick of overly inflating how good someone was to make a point about someone else being cr@p.
Cedwyn and ?The cart horse? was probably your best one!

For your benefit whilst still wearing those tinted specs McGoldrick was very average last season, and not up to what we expected. It is only this season where he has excelled. But I'm sure you will say otherwise....

Im aware of how limited SS is as a keeper but it?s mental to think a League 2 club might have better than him picking splinters out of their arse on the bench all season.

Slocombe?s perfectly good as a sub as he demonstrated at Grimsby, as anything more nowadays not so much.

But your now infamous and frankly horrifically bad comment about McGoldrick being a cart horse was made well into THIS season, in December. So what has that got to do with last season and how he played?

You wanted to send him out to graze nearly 20 games into THIS season! A season you are now saying he has excelled in yet a few months ago he?d had his day. Impressive turnaround from McGoldrick and even more so by yourself. There is being wrong and then there is that.

Imagine if our head coach who you so happily criticise on such a very regular basis agreed, sackable offence I?d say. Thankfully he?s didn?t as he?s been our most consistent and impressive performers. The envy of many a club at this and above.

Maybe leave it to the pros

The point now is that he is no longer the sub but the main man, possibly up to and including the play off final.
Who will be our Archie Mair?

I think the vast majority of Notts fans would say otherwise.
