Looks like SYP are actually going to start doing something about these big crowds who imo are totally ignorant morons, possible attention seekers as well, receive a fine or get arrested is being spoke about at the minute
The messaging has been a bit pants. Johnson is somebody who wants to be liked and so struggles to deliver unpalatable messages. In his press conference yesterday he started well with 'stay at home', but then muddied the waters with his get out for a walk exception. He needs to go back to the starkness of 'loved ones will die' and hammer it.

'Get staying at home done' might be an effective message.

That being said, there are still plenty of people who just don't get it and seem intent on continuing with their lives as normal.

The police have very limited powers to deal with the irresponsible, but that is going to change with the emergency legislation that will be going through Parliament. I've read some of the draft. Blimey.

We have a pretty lawless nation as it is you should know that Kerr in your profession. They could bring out what laws they want but many will ignore them. Many will knuckle down but not enough to stop the bug.

Its very simple to me what we should do. Pile all resources into our weak health system, find a vaccine and isolate the vulnerable.

This bug will run its course and will do what it has to do.There is no way that 66 million people will knuckle down. The only thing we can do is isolate vulnerable people for a very long time.

Just as a side note. The number of deaths attributed to corona virus could be higher than we think because many of the victims have died of other causes.

All we can do now is to be ready for the next one...

If 66 million people don't knuckle down, more people will die than is inevitable. Ask the Italians.

It waint happen and more people WILL die Kerr. Those people who don't knuckle down won't care. It is all about damage limitation. It always has been. The Italians will have their own fair share of cant be arsed as well.

"Feck the corona virus "and "end of the world" parties.

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...of-coronavirus

Young uns aint scared of it. And even if you crack down on these by law how do you police them? Even if police raid them party goers will already have come into contact. And the longer people are pinned in their homes the more times these will happen.

    WTF are you on about?

I went for a 5 mile walk yesterday. Probably live nearer the town centre than you. Passed a garden centre that was open that had plenty of cars in the car park. Passed 2 joggers and around 3 or 4 walkers.

Didn't feel the need to, like it seems 100's of thousands of others did, travel to the coast or national park or go walking on a busy trail.

Sorted at least 3 neighbours out with some basic provisions yesterday and they've all been contacted by my better half, to see if they need any shopping.

It seems, listening to another 'know all' on here, Brin put all our health at risk yesterday by visiting his mum.

I believe, regardless of what you think, or advice you're following you posed a far greater risk to health than he did. I believe visiting a supermarket poses a far greater threat still but I'm being arrogant.

You're just looking for a script, to justify not taking full responsibility for your actions. This is an unknown killer. Don't try your usual nonsense with me. There are many examples in this one thread where you illustrate what a selfish idiot you are.

Your approach is dangerous and as usual you try and deflect it by trying to win a MM popularity contest. Not to mention bringing politics into it. Your trump card is it? You have a very high opinion of yourself which is all based on your political persuasion.

    Thick as F(_)CK as always.

A pack of lies howdy as usual from you, If you walked that far yesterday there is no way you only came across that number of people. And no it wasn't busy the path I walked on. I presume you were watching me. Stop making things up.

I do agree with you about supermarkets.

The zeitgeist of this world has a lot to do with its problems whether you like it or not.

I won't resort to your abusive language to finish with. A sure sign that a nerve has been it

Whatever you or I think or do this will run its course.
