In my opinion The Godfather and The Godfather part 2 are the finest films ever made. I cannot split them and I think this is because I consider them to be the same film told over 6:5 hours.
The time flies by and the cast are all on great form. They changed the way films were made forever and their influences can still be seen in films made today.
I’m very much looking forward to The Irishman.
Anyway, what is it about mob films that make them so popular. I’m essence they glorify murderous, drug dealing people traffickers. All this code of respect is bull**** and many ordinary or vulnerable people lost their lives?
Do you also consider the 2 films on par or can you split them? I find it impossible to watch the original without watching the sequel within a few days.
It’s not an oversight that I’ve left part 3 out of the question.
