Politicians do seem to be out of touch and self-serving these days, (I will give you that.)

Nothing at all, but he’s more like a Tory MP than a typical Labour MP

He’s London centric like the rest.

Issues North of Watford don’t really matter and as a smokescreen he keeps Angela Raynor as his deputy to give it “ a working class touch”

Labour are as clueless as the Tories, they just currently have the advantage though because their ideas are all on paper and haven’t been tested in reality. They can promise without comeback, and will do so to get elected.

Starmer doesn't come from a priveledged background. Worked his way up the system and made mistakes along the way. (who hasn't).
All I've seen for the last 12 years is " a vicious cycle of stagnation".
Something has got to give. Sunak for me until the Tories decide to call an election. (which I doubt will be anytime soon.)

I'm aware of his background Godsend .

There isn't anybody in UK political history who have come back from this , one poll today has the Tories on 11% .

They've neither the time nor the talent to pull this off and things are only going to get worse with the economy going forward .

They can't even agree with themselves and nobody votes for a divided party .

They've virtually handed the next election to Labour on a plate .

When it’s the choice between a bad Tory party and a highly risky Labour Party voters will hit the middle and throw wasted votes at the Lib Dems, Greens and other no hopers. Many won’t bother voting at all. Result being a hung parliament

I think the Lib Dems are the best out of the main three, they've only had 5 years as junior partners in a coalition, so they haven't really had a chance.

The other two have and been found wanting.

It's not really a risky Labour Party Grist , Starmer is seen as credible , or credible enough , to be fair that's not exactly hard given the current Tories .

Labour are taking votes off the Tories .

They are way ahead of where they were in 1997 when they secured a 180 seat majority .

There's nothing the Tories can do other than slightly lose by less .

Once these things happen you can't change it , it's completely out of their hands because they've lost control of the economy and in doing so the trust of the electorate .

Another leadership contest just adds to the fact they've lost control .

They'd be well advised to call a GE pretty sharpish and get this done with because if they carry on with this thing for too much longer and with Farage threatening to stage a comeback they may be done for good .

I always thought the 2019 election said quite a bit about the Dems .

They campaigned on reversing Brexit in its entirety , that's 48% potential votes .

I'm not wild about them but they're not really responsible for this countries decline like the Tories and Labour.

Although Vince Cable privatising Royal Mail has not been a huge success.

The coalition with Cameron was a catastrophe for the Dems and they've never really recovered from that in my opinion .

Anybody wishing for PR is going to be disappointed in my opinion too .

We are stuck with what we have , vote for the least worst option is about as good as it gets .
