    Great move for Karmara to re-home to Stade Rennais who have missed out on European qualification for the first time in 7 years.

    We signed him for £5 million, now sold with a profit too with the Kamara move set to rake in around £800,000 for Rangers as he nears his move to Rennes from us. 😯

    Rennes are always a "selling-club" & are set to lose a whole raft of quality players this summer as per usual.
    First teamers Le Fée, Belocian, Rieder, Abline & Gomis have already left whilst Désiré Doué is highly coveted, so if a strong offer is received, Rennes would struggle to refuse.

    Rightly or wrongly they have a youth policy to develop & sell on for mega bucks with a rash of youngsters now playing for the top clubs in Europes first teams - Rutter was sold by them when he was young too.
    No different to our youth policy in reality thats been trying to follow similar footsteps but not generating quite the same talent.

    Deja vu for sure if we are chasing Clarke?
    Recall that in order not to be penalised we had to sell players under Radz too as he revealed that we had no choice but to offload players because of "Financial Fair Play" back then.

    He said at that time “Unfortunately the finances of the last few years are showing big losses and we could be penalised with a deduction of points by the league"
    Technically at this moment, we could have all the money in the world but we have financial fair play and that does not allow us to invest in players". 😐

    Leeds actually generated around £28m in player sales at that time & brought in the likes of Helder Costa on loan from Wolves & the highly-rated Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal who has not really been the biz as expected either.

    However, that cruel summer saw us flog Jack Clarke, Pontus Jansson & Kemar Roofe - though Clarke was loaned back, albeit unsuccessfully.

    Not really moved on have we, sadly.

    The last 7 words just about sums everything up.

    Rodon was a great signing, Rothwell decent and if we land Bogle - he would be incredible.

    Quite like the lack of noise from the club who instead try to get things quietly done.

    Let's hope some team like them overrates him! we could use the 30 million... much of which would be profit toward the FA rules.

    Don't believe all this "Apparantly" and "From friends" hearsay mate
    Everton may well be trying to get him again but who knows what he actually wants - his agent no doubt looling for a slice of any transfer fee - but the training videos ive seen show him as looking happy as larry with his current team mates,

    he will or wont go - but I for one NEVER believe either the hype in advance - or the "I always wanted to be here" crap spouted after a move - they cannot really say anything else to their new "Fans" can they?

    Probably right Tichi , but when you get the 'Sky Sport News Understands' bit on the TV it kind of gets you thinking there must be something in it.

    Virtually no loyalty in Football these days mate...only to the ££££s.

    Looks like we have had two bids turned down for Bogle - confirmed by the blunts too so looks like we are actually trying to bring decent players in.

    Reports we are trying to loan Rasmus out too which tends to support incomings at RB

    So, we are 24 days from the first match of the new season, and in the first week (from 10th to the 17th of August), we play newly promoted Portsmouth, Boro and the Baggies. At present we have Rothwell as the only ACTUAL new signing, with the following outgoings (loans and sales, in no particular order);

    Gray, Sinisterra, Roca, Cresswell, Kamara, Shackleton, Ayling, Llorente, Klaesson, Greenwood, Gyabi, Drameh, Poveda, Bate, Roca. (I may have missed someone, it's hard to keep track!)

    Whilst nothing is certain until the fat lady sings, there is a strong likelihood that one (probably more) of the following wil also depart;

    Summerville, Gnonto, Rutter, Meslier, Struijk, Firpo

    Thos latter departure(s) if they happen, will be as significant in their impact as the sale of Archie.

    24 days, tick tock, tick tock.
