Goodwin should?ve been tarred feathered & left on Union St for the whole city to hurl abuse at him after that week.

Aberdeen FC have made some criminally poor decisions down there years but firing that dunce wasn?t one of them.

The club he?s at just now is a perfect fit for him. Zero pressure because they?re sh1t and their fans are spuds. This is the best it?s going to get for them. Let?s have another look at the end of the season

Did a good job at Alloa. Did a good job at St Mirren and people seem to forget he was doing a good job at Aberdeen until the World Cup break where he had them sitting third in the table.

The seeds of what went wrong at Aberdeen were sown with 2 tough fixtures after the break, nearly holding Celtic to a draw then the players snatching defeat from victory to huns in injury time. Aberdeen were also holding their own at Hampden in semi against huns until the diddy Stewart got sent off. The disaster in last 2 games isn't all down to JG. For some reason they downed tools like United players did with Jack Ross, another manager let down by players. The quick turnaround in performances under your next sacked manager Barry Robson shown that.

You need to accept it just didn't work out in the end with JG in a bad month which the players should take take their fair bit of the responsibility. These things happen. Once you realise that and thankful for the record transfer fee for JG recruited Miovski you can move on and stop being so ridiculously stuck in JG hate mode.
A new supply of drugs in Dundee being sampled and tested by the above.

Jim Goodwin is a very poor manager. He didn?t sign Miovski as he wouldn?t have heard of the lad before our scouting staff stumbled upon him.

Miovski performed well in a very poor team and got a big money move due to his own ability.

JG was mediocre at Alloa, poor at St.Mirren, horrendous at Aberdeen and now has Dundee United mediocre. Hopefully he signs a very long term contract there though?.he is everything Dundee United is.

I had enjoyed several refreshments before attending the game yesterday, so my analysis may be impacted somewhat, but a few observations:

A far better performance than recently. Good early pressing - Sokler & Clarkson did a good job here especially - and we played through the lines a lot better than recently.

Nilssen was better, but like Keskinen he looks dead on his feet as hes been playing for a year solid. No coincidence his form has dropped off. We need to look to rotate the midfield more if we dont add any new recruits.

    But

We were still too slow and ponderous, we didnt get & use nearly enough width, and the delivery into the box was honking again - a big part of the lack of goal threat.

Decision making & passing in the final third especially was also very poor. Getting better players who do this stuff better has to be a priority.

Yet again, our complete inability to defend long balls over the top & balls into the box cost us. Lost count of the number of times Molloy got beat in the air (as usual) & though Ruby was better than recently hes just an absolute bombscare & a disaster waiting to happen.

Two proper big strong quick CHs who can play the ball on the deck and can actually win a header are absolute priorities.

United are pish. Dreadful team. We certainly didnt deserve to lose but until we address the glaring issues that are clear to everybody its gonna be a struggle.

Tannadice has to be one of the worst grounds in the league - absolutely dreadful.

Dont get the hate for Goodwin & if stuff was lobbed at him thats not on. Yes, he was a poor appointment and was out of his depth here. Clubs the size of Utd & St Mirren are clearly suited to him due to the low expectations & pressure - but it wasnt his fault he got the Dons job and hes never bad mouthed the club, so I just dont see the need or reason for it.

Big month in January coming up on and off the park. We need to bounce back like in previous years, starting on the 2nd.

Think your guy has it all to do again, everyone sussed his formation and tactics?.does he have an alternative? Starting to look like he does not, so likely punted after cup defeat in the true Don?s stylee! 😂😂😂

Happy new year to you all! X

Youre doing better than youre used to. How much of that is down to your manager I?m not so sure.

I wonder if youll all still be polishing his helmet if Dundees big club win the derby

Yes we are doing better than the dreadful decade we have been used to. 10 years 10 managers nothing but debt to show for it, Oor Jim has steadied the ship, reduced budgets, improved recruitment policy, and comes over as a decent honest operator.

RE Dundee?s big club?.try harder ffs! That?s like me accusing you of living in the 80?s 😂 if you want banter you need to up your game. 😂

Gave a good night, I know you don?t have a derby tomorrow 😢, no one even hates you enough to call it a derby, as if it?s not lonely enough away out there in the wilderness!😉
