You wanted to send him out to graze nearly 20 games into THIS season! A season you are now saying he has excelled in yet a few months ago he?d had his day. Impressive turnaround from McGoldrick and even more so by yourself. There is being wrong and then there is that.

Imagine if our head coach who you so happily criticise on such a very regular basis agreed, sackable offence I?d say. Thankfully he?s didn?t as he?s been our most consistent and impressive performers. The envy of many a club at this and above.

Maybe leave it to the pros
He wasnt picked for the first few games because SM didnt think he was a suit for the team.

You?re damn right I?ll say otherwise, 13 goals and 5 assists when he was mainly used wide left. His season ended when he got clattered 2/3 of the way through the season. He came back weeks later but was nowhere near fully fit.
The difference this season is he?s far more advanced and central with Jatta.
You constantly defended Scott being ineffective by saying he was out of position, yet McGoldrick was also out of position but because you didn?t like him, he was just cr@p.
Quite funny that you now just refer to him as ?average? when he was every name under the sun last season.

Why would I or anybody on here have not seen him play? What a bizarre suggestion

Just a reminder you called our technically most gifted and former international player a cart horse and wanted him putting out to graze 4 months into this season. Fantastic work, nailed it.

Have another go I?m sure you can come up with something better than he wasn?t picked for the first few games

Back to the topic of Bass? injury and Brooks. A quick look on Wikipedia and saw he only played 4 games over 4 years for Notts.

Unless you?ve been tuning into Gateshead games this season I am not sure anybody can say with any certainty that he was or wasn?t good enough for top half of League Two for this run in. Very difficult to judge over so few games

Of what I saw of him, his distribution was an issue and he wasn't as commanding as he could be in the box, pretty much Slocombe without the experience

I agree, I think though Slocombe is pretty decent with his feet but there?s always a once in a while calamity moment, start of Chesterfield match last case point. Then again Bass had his moments a couple of months back. I think it?s the same for most keepers who use their feet more and are being asked to delay kicking to pull opposition out of position if that?s the reason.
