The lino who wouldn't flag, I'd be amazed if he could see right across the pitch in those conditions and as such he should of said. Can't flag what you can't see.
He didn't flag when he did see it but yes it was pantomime stuff that last twenty minutes. The snow covering hid all the lines so should the referee stopped the game on that basis? It certainly hampered our game, less so Cardiff. However the lads can move on knowing they were the better team and look forward to the next match with hopefully a better return.

I agree. I'd just be amazed if he could honestly say that he could see across the pitch to the other stand clearly, as he should of been able to. That doesn't detract from the poor defending for the second but it was a little farcical. Onto the next one.

I agree. Harding was poor last night and I assumed he'd only stayed on because Olosunde had taken a knock (although he wasn't having his best game either). Put him on the bench on Saturday alongside Wiles who is also looking jaded and was pretty much anonymous last night.

Much comments on Harding who I agree didn't have his best game but didn't his left back replacement Giles miscontrol to allow for the winning cross, and also miscontrolled soon after to allow another break away from which we nearly conceded a third?

I think the ref was pretty poor for both sides but I don't think you lost the game because of the ref. Outside of the goals the best chance actually fell to Morrison when your keeper made an outstanding save.
I called the first handball. It was Barlaser that it hit.

It was just a poor match and Cardiff made it what it was. The way we've been playing this season wasn't there last night.
You can't be happy with the way you're playing if that's what it's been like.
Keifer Moore will be a bit worried with the new managerial appointment. He's a fin forward although he's decent in the air he's a good touch.

Thanks for the contribution by the way.

I was an even bigger football nut back then. I lived and breathed Rotherham United. Had all the league ladders and was interested in other teams too. Dad used to take me to games at Huddersfield Town, Sheffield United & Wednesday when we were away. Unfortunately my many travels involving our team in that period 1968-80 as you know were not very productive for us, It was a great time, not necessarily on the pitch but following the team. Met some great people, but that period was my real induction following our team and effectively was my only interest which left me with a skill for remembering what might be described by many as a lot of trivia, but to me it was my passion.
Then I met someone with not the slightest interest in football so that put paid to that. You can’t be happy all your life I suppose.

Felt a bit low after the Cardiff defeat and the Wednesday win. The road to relegation is littered with hard luck stories, questionable refereeing decisions, defeats by the odd goal, lapses of concentration, missed chances, injuries to key players, the lack of a proven, reliable goal-scorer, unforeseen events, etc., etc. We have experienced too many of these not to feel concerned. We are not, never have been and never will be a BIG club with a potentially massive fan base and/or the backing of a fabulously rich sugar daddy. There are many big-city clubs in this division, even ex-European champions and clubs with generous parachute payments. So, we were always going to be up against it in the Championship.
But we have a leadership with its heart in the right place, determined not to see us slide down the slippery slope to oblivion we once so nearly followed and a fanbase of loyal, experience-hardened supporters who recognise when people are doing their best. Although a relatively inexperienced one-club manager, Mr Warne has Rotherham passion flowing through his veins and has done his best to recruit players who personify the spirit of a never-say-die Rotherham, players like Richard Wood who would run through brick walls for the club and Michael Smith who would chase, kick and head all day long, giving every last ounce each match.
So I reckon there is hope. I mean, were’ not even in the bottom three any more and even if we fail we stand a good chance of bouncing back. If we want inspiration, look at Luton. They endured even more points deductions than we did, slid out of the league, bounced back and now sit comfortably in this division. Nearly half a season still to go so Come on, You Millers, keep right on till the end of the road (as they sing in Birmingham) and get us up this table.
Sorry about the ramble but I feel better now.

If more snow expected send them all for skating lessons, cardiff seemed to cope better with the conditions.

May be a good time to remind everyone that Wes is actually a right back covering at left back and has done admirably

    My thoughts entirely.

When played as an out and out right full back, hes looked the part. In fact, hes looked better than that. Totally solid and reliable with the odd move forward as full backs can when on top.

When played out of that position, in either a back 3 or left wing back role hes looked suspect.

It's not Hardings fault. I hope, by moving him around, we dont shatter his confidence because we have a championship standard right back on our hands. But that's what he is: a right back.
