Got it for time-wasting in the last few minutes.

Deserved, he was clearly wasting time.

A friend of mine, not a Notts supporter was at the match and his comment on Notts’ play was “total football”

He was good for us so not bothered what he does elsewhere. Has Chicken Balti Pie says you can't compare the two, Wooton was expected to play upfront on his own much of the time holding the ball up and also having to go back and defend set pieces, totally different styles.

Christ this is hard work. They’re different strikers but you can still compare their relative value to the team. For example I’m pretty sure we’d have drawn 0-0 at Halifax or even lost with Wootton up top. Similarly Chicksen was unmarked yesterday because they were so preoccupied with Langstaff. Which would you rather have in the team? Which do you think other teams would rather face? The point is that Charlie/Stall sometimes go overboard in their praise of players, as do all local journalists. Wootton wasn’t nearly as good as they made out.

If Williams accepts that he often doesn’t need 2 defensive midfielders I suspect it’ll be Palmer sitting on the bench, and Austin will be starting.

A guy sat next to us and was very complimentary about Notts and really got involved in the game shouting encouragement and cheering every good move. At half time I asked him if he went to away games and he surprised me by saying no he was a Forest supporter. But thought we were excellent and loved Reuben.

I quite like this plain-speaking, no more Mr Nice Guy version of Ardley.

The interviewer wound him up with the first question, basically inferring it was all Ardley's fault because of the tactics. He was basically seething all the way through after that. Managers hate being challenged on that stuff

Not sure where the BBC get some of these interviewers from - the one that interviewed Ardley was pathetically poor
