Wakefield Trinity set to sign Championship Player Of The Year winger Lachlan Walmsley from Halifax according to Yorkshire Live .
The 25 year old Aussie scored 38 tries in 31 games for Fax last season .
Just the kind of signing we need to bring to Belle Vue for the task ahead next season .
That's not a bad nucleus to have at championship level Chop to say the least .
Sounds bloody daft does this but I'm actually looking forward to next season and hoping to get to a few games .
We moved back over to Staincross earlier in the year after many years over the other side of town and it's only 15 minutes to Belle Vue from our house .
The relegation seems to have installed some long awaited ambition at Belle Vue and created a bit of a buzz .
Maybe the relegation could be the making of the club , god knows we've waited long enough .
Takeover completed and Daryl Powell confirmed as new HC on a four year deal .
The good news continues with Trinity meeting all the criteria under the new system to qualify for Super League status .
Interestingly newly promoted London Broncos do not .
It is unexpected news for Trinity as they currently sit in 11th in the criteria table… I assume the new East Stand will have stood them well.
Cas are out of the favoured Twelve !!!
Things could however change in the next 12 months
First interview with new owner Matthew Elllis in the link , I've got to say I'm seriously considering buying a Season Ticket for next season .
This is hopefully an exciting new era for the club and signs of real ambition , proper ambition .
God only knows we've waited long enough .
Pretty impressed with Trinity securing the services from Wigan of Centre Iain Thornley , especially given he'd still a year left on his contract at Wigan and could have seen that out .
That tells me he's bought into club 100% to drop down to Championship level , ok he's 32 years old but he's won the lot with Wigan .

It's all coming together quite nicely.
The new RFL / IMG grading system see's us graded B in 11th place and that's before finishing the East Stand and other ground improvements, as the points awarded were based on the ground as we knew it before the development was finished. Along with other ongoing improvements to be made pre-season and during the 2024 season we are in a very good position to improve our score off the field.
On the playing side a strong Championship squad is now quickly being built. It's a strong possibility we will start the new season with a better balanced and quality squad of players than we started with in Super League last season.
Matt Ellis has certainly started out as he said he would with all his bold statements on getting us back to our glory days. Action is already equalling his words!. I am sure he is also clever enough to know that other clubs will also be striving to get a top 12th ranking for 2024 to seal a Super League position.
I don't normally buy season tickets Animal due to my travelling but will consider to do so. Either way I will get to see a good chunk of home games throughout the season so would be good to get a game in with you.
Onwards and Upwards for the Mighty Trin.
Happier days to come I am sure.
For sure Chop , Sunday afternoon these days is relatively quiet and I reckon I can make the majority of home games so it would be nice to watch the Trinity Revolution and meet up .
I always think that if a bloke is prepared to spend his own money and has some serious ambition then I'm prepared to back it with my own brass too .
£100 for a Trinity Season Ticket on the uncovered West Terrace , £150 for the North Stand behind the posts and £250 for the new Don Fox East Stand .
The £100 ST on the West Terrace is incredible value , alright you might drop on some inclement weather early in the season but come the summer months it enjoys the best of the sunshine in the entire ground , complete with new bar facilities .
For a £100 it's a no brainer for me to see the start of this great Trinity Revolution and support this journey at the beginning and hopefully seeing the club achieve things we've not seen since the sixties .
Many of us haven't seen anything at all other than a Yorkshire Cup win in the early 90's and the Championship Grand Final in 1998 .
Me bought a couple of seated tickets for the NEIL Fox East stand Animal, had enough of standing last season and want to try out the new stand.
10 minute walk for me from my home and like you say good value and so will look forward to seeing as many games as possible.
Already sold around 3500 season tickets which in less than a week is really encouraging.
