And if we had of done that and lost a couple it would of then been that we should of recruited experience.

We are totally devoid of Championship skill and character and i just don't see 3 worse teams in the division. Far from being a successful transfer window it now looks something of a disaster. Do we not search for young hungry players with potential in the lower leagues ?
I agree with bringing young hungry lower league attackers in.Firstly there is a chance of improvement, secondly, less likely to be injury prone and thirdly, more affordable.

Yesterday we could not cope with Viktor Gyokeres, the Coventry City forward turned us
inside out, our game plan should have been a man marker on him.
Coventry City did their homework on Ogbene, putting 2 defenders on him, as soon as
he approached the 18 yard box with the ball.
Best pass of the game, was Tom Eaves to the Coventry City player, for them to score
    their 2nd goal.

That's what I thought because plenty of other clubs do.

The problem of not scoring goals from open play all boils down to the formation and supporting the front player/s.

Yesterday we din't do any. It was pointless playing Hugill up front on his own, when he won a header no one was near him. Lack of support.

It's now a worrying time, but it has been coming in all fairness, apart from the wearers of the tinted glasses.........utm.

It is the other end. Minus Woody from corners, they won't make a difference. I'm not against either being involved BTW but they aren't the answer to our issues IMO.

I agree about others needing to be dropped if not performing.
The reality is we don't actually know if one or either of them would have made a difference yesterday, it's just a matter of opinion.
But the point I'm making is why have they been frozen out? Are they both so far behind what the manager wants or is there another reason?
Lindsay must be really dreadful in training if he couldn't get on the bench yesterday when we didn't have another midfield option, unless of course there is another issue because he hasn't been reported as being injured or unwell.

Fair point. I can't say for certainty, unlikely then.

No centre mid as backup was a bizarre decision. 3 strikers on the bench seems like a decision made with the thought in mind that we would be chasing the game, not great. It isn't bold IMO, smells of not having much faith in the initial lineup.

I disagree Timber, regarding there not being three worse teams.Blackpool more than rode their luck against Stoke.Wigan played a weakened Norwich and Huddersfield played a very indifferent Birmingham side.Still think Cardiff will be down there and even though they've got a few more points banked, Reading could be drawn into it

Stoke City - Powered in a load of shots in the game at Blackpool, same as Stoke did at home against
the Millers, but lost, not forgetting Blackpools winner was scored with a deflection.

    Stats
    Blackpool Fc .....................Stoke City
    ..... 31% ....... Possession ... 69%
    ..... 07 ............. Shots ....... 25
    ..... 01 .......... On Target .... 06
    ..... 03 ........... Corners ...... 05
    ..... 13 ............ Fouls ......... 09
