Let's hope that Greg Fenton reads this thread, and in particular takes note of the way you suggested to allocate tickets should a similar over demand situation arise. I am convinced and withdraw my first past the post suggestion.
DSA do seem to be working hard to help the club by getting fans to attend away games. Do some of their bus arrangements also bring fans to Dens. Apologies if this is a really stupid comment.

A couple of clubs, eg the Ferry Branch bus that I go on, take people up to Dens for home games

I am not a season ticket holder but I believe in things being done fairly.
How do you know what people were thinking if you're not a season ticket holder and wasn't there? How might they have rightly assumed this when it was never stated

The Forfar Dark Blues have not taken a bus to any home games this season.

When it stated that tickets for the Queens Park match would be only sale on Monday 1st May 2023 at 10am in the Ticket Office to season ticket holders only give me and lots of other people the impression that all the tickets would be on sale in the Ticket Office not just a percentage of them.

How does getting fans to attend away games help the club.
With the home team keeping the gate for League matches fans attending away games are handing over their admission money to the home club instead of Dundee Football Club.
They would be better not travelling to away games and keeping the money they have saved to sponsor a Dundee FC first team player or Academy player.
